Sorry for the double thread, I cant find any good/free solutions to solve this.

Is there any way I could edit my landing lights to look more like:

..or...

Its really irking the hell out of me the way the default A321 taxi and landing lights look.

Thanks,

I don't know the answer off the top of my head but your best bet is to take a shower, comb your hair, brush your teeth and go ask in the FSX forum where the FSX gurus, prophets and mystics hang.

Meanwhile you might be able to pick up some clues from these threads that have appeared there, they're like holy writ-

The honest and short answer to your question is no, there is nothing that you as an end user can do. Full stop.

The default landing/taxi lights are compiled into the core of the simulator, and cannot be affected directly. In addition, they must be implemented correctly in the compiled model (.mdl) file by the developer.

Custom landing/taxi lights (such as in your second screenshot) are likewise compiled into the model (.mdl) file by the developer, and whatever custom graphic files are also supplied by the developer.

Welp, that sucks. I was hoping I could edit some textures or something and it'd be fixed. Anyways, thanks for clearing that up.
