agnitfom2000
I'm developing a complete package for the XF-90, a post-war jet escort fighter. I'm having a problem with the 2d panel window. It defaults to only the top half of the screen, as shown in the following picture: I want it to look like the picture below. I can make that happen by manually dragging the edge, but I'd really like it to come up that way when the plane is loaded. Below is the virtual cockpit. It does not have this problem. I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't find the answer to this problem. I'd really appreciate some help with this one. Thanks. il88pp
I do know having panel transparency at 0% in your "FSX - options - display" settings has the effect of the lower half of the screen black. Best explained in an image perhaps, see here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?287059-Cant-seem-to-adjust-the-eyepoint-view I have no idea if that has anything to do with your bitmap. I'm not talking about transparency of the bitmap there. (Transparency of the bitmap may have something to do with it, or alpha, but I really am just guessing. I very limited knowlege of those things. For me working with dxtbmp is: make a good backup, try clicking on everything that moves, and hope for the best. So don't take advice from me on that. (yet) ) I also must say I'm a newcomer in the panel and gauges forum. My first post is below yours. hope it helps, il88pp [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PhantomTweak
Ummmm.... (That's me trying to think, usually gives me a splitting headache...) What size is the panel's bitmap, vs what size is the window size= in the [window00] entry? [Window00] file=A-4panel.bmp file_1024=A-4panel.bmp size_mm=1024 window_size_ratio=1.00 position=0 visible=1 ident=main_panel I've never made a panel from scratch, but I think (Albeit rarely!) that the two lines must be the same, ie 1024 in this case. I also believe that, with no size_mm=1024 entry, 1024 is the default size, so if your BMP file is only 640, it will only take up 1/2 of whatever size the background color (Again, I believe black is the default, or 0,0,0 thus: Background_color=0, 0, 0, so that entry is the same as no line entry ). It's either that, or 0,0,0 is transparent. From the ESP SDK: Use for a background created with no background bitmap. Use 0,0,0 for a transparent background. Not a very good explanation. The SDK has better information, but it may help point you in the right direction, anyway... okbob
Try looking at the end of the panel.cfg file. There are settings for the size of the view. Your vertical (Y) dimensions are too short. I believe the maximums are: SIZE_X=8191 SIZE_Y=6143
