I have tried a new FSX.CFG and reinstalled acceleration.

Just to note when i undock the panel and it goes to a view the only way to get it back is right clicking on it with my mouse

DO NOT UPDATE GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER TO THE LATEST ONE AS THIS IS WHAT YOU GET

I rolled back to my previous and bingo all fixed

Which GPU? Which GPU update? The GTX 780, I assume. Which update for a GTX 780?

MORE INFO IS BETTER!

LESSON: Never upgrade a working driver for your video card if it is currently working, unless something previously broken has been fixed, and/or other folks have reported success.

Don't be a guinea pig for NVidia or AMD either one!

I totally subscribe to this. I have an older (some would say antique computer i7920 with GTX 260 video card) computer and am running NVidia 3d 296.1 Drivers - these work best for FSX for me.

When I tried to upgrade the video drivers I get all sorts of weirdness and tearing of my FSX. So I rolled them back to these older versions, everything works tickety boo.
