~Carenado Hawker 850XP & Citation II S550~

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals!!

I've been living the world of the rich and famous as I fly both the Hawker and Citation from Carenado across the UK. Both of these aircraft have met plenty of controversy on some of the forums for lack of true authentic systems and a high price tag, but both of these beauties are much more than just skin deep... if not quite 'Real Air' quality flight modelling or 'PMDG' for systems.

I have to say that even though Carenado spent a long time developing the Hawker, it's a bit of a mess, the auto pilot doesn't work correctly and the FMS has caused multiple crashes on my system, the quite frankly laughable 'FMS' in the Citation also makes you wonder why on earth both of these carry a premium price.

If I had to choose between these two, I actually prefer the cheaper to buy Citation for how she handles, a truly fantastic 'seat of your pants' aircraft that can get you in and out of smaller trips, or jet-set you across Europe. Both the VC and the MFD are gorgeous.

Hope you enjoy the shots, thanks for viewing folks!

Now I really must continue my Norway series as I have plenty to show you all, flying the best GA aircraft of the lot, the Real Air Turbine Duke!

That's a shame about the Hawker. I held off buying it after reading several user reviews and they all mentioned the autopilot, among other things.

There are freeware that have better quality from what I've seen. Let's hope Cerenado has better luck with their future business jets.

Great screenshots by the way Steve!

Thanks for showing off these beautiful aircraft, Steve :) I'm glad that I held off on purchasing the Hawker. However, I am closer to getting the Eaglesoft Citation X for FSX. I have it for FS9 and LOVE it.
