drake4896 Posted October 30, 2014 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Currently I am using the freeware 76m/LOD 9 mesh. I have discovered yesterday that FSX 38m mesh loads fine in the FS9 sim. I also read yesterday that I needed to change my FS9.cfg file (which in a hidden folder) from a terrain setting of LOD 19 to 21. I did this as well in order for the 38m to be seen properly. I then experimented and loaded a 5m mesh of Mt St Helens and this loaded fine as well. I did not see a difference with the 5m mesh installed to my eyes. Q: Is it true that the best LOD that FS9 can view is LOD 11 (19m)? If I load 10m FSX terrain into FS9 will I be seeing that terrain in FS9 as 19m/LOD 11?
