    So for example, during an approach on an A320, the GPS know that the plabe has been aligned with the runway, it will then use his VSR indicator, right?

    An A320 would use the INS and GPS. They don't have a GNS 530W or 430. It's all in the FMC.

    And just a note VSR isn't Vertical Speed Rate, but Vertical Speed required and it's in feet per second not minute.
