    Default Boeing 777-200 Sim Session

Several co-workers of mine and I got an opportunity to spend over 2 hours flying the 777 sim on 2/28/13. I already had my turn performing takeoffs and landings, ILS approaches, etc. This is a short vid of my right seat co-worker doing his thing. It was our first time taking the controls of a large jet but we all have extensive flight experience in turbo props. The 777 sim was actually quite easy to manage but some of the landings made that night were less than stellar. Haha! Overall, it was a GREAT experience!

    Joe,

This is a simulator used to do real 777-200 flight training? The video is great, where was this simulator and who made it? How didyou guys get to try it out?

Here's another pic while I was flying the sim. I believe this is the point in which I was setting up for a visual to 25L (touch n go) at VHHH:
I have to add, from the vantage point of the picture taker, it appears we are in a dive but I can tell you it is definitely in level flight The
graphics were quite amazing...all Google maps overlay. VHHH had quite a bit of aircraft traffic and road traffic was VERY dense. Wish I could have gotten a vid of this particular approach because you could see the massive road traffic all around Hong Kong. FSX wouldn't be able to touch it

    Joe,

These are great. I missed seeing them (I don't see the forums everyday unfortunately I have lots of other stuff to deal with). You obviously had a great time. You mentioned something in the thread about getting some of the videos up. Typically the best route is to post them on youtube then embed the video in a link. You will find the instructions to embed it here.

We certainly invite any and all videos and photos of things you've done as you dig them out. If it is stuff you've done personally then your profile thread is a great spot to keep it all!!!

    Thanks for posting these

    Dan

Thanks, Dan. I did load up one vid but I do have 2 more that I intend to post later. I have to say, this won't be my one and only sim ride on the wide bodies or narrow body. I'm focusing on worming my way into the MD-11 sim next. And, if I work it right with a friend of mine who is a 757 sim instructor, I may get to do this one as well.

Here's another version of the sim ride...with go-around. Maybe better quality:
