Thread: Can this PC run FSX or should I get FS9?

  1. Default Can this PC run FSX or should I get FS9?

    Hey everyone,

I need a new laptop and I am going to get an Acer Aspire 5750G:

    Intel i5 (2.5Ghz)
    8GB RAM
    Nvidia GeForce GT610M (1GB)
    Windows 7 Home Premium

I lost my FSX and so I also need to purchase a new simulator and was wondering if I should get FSX again or FS9, and have a few questions.

    1) Will this be able to run FSX well on medium/high settings?
    2) Will it be capable of running FSX with addons such as UK2000 EGLL, flytampa TNCM, Captain Sim 757, relatively well?
    3) What will the general performance of FSX be?

    4) Would it be better to get FS9 and run it with visually enhancing addons? (REX,UTX, etc.)
    5) How will the performance of FS9 on this machine be with addons?
    6) Could I run FS9 maxed out?

Thanks in advance, I really can't make up my mind which sim I should get!

    Ok, thanks.

Roughly what FPS would I be achieving in FSX on medium settings with Captain Sim 757?
I have come from a pc that I never thought I would put FSX on. (1.8Ghz Celeron).
Coming from that, I would be happy to see anything above 20fps
