Thread: "Lightstoo" taxiway/runway light mod not showing as advertised.

Question "Lightstoo" taxiway/runway light mod not showing as advertised.

I've done as the readme suggests...
To install, place the LIGHTSTOO folder in your addon scenery directory and the contents of the effects folder in your Flight Simulator X Effects directory
I made sure to go to the Scenery Library to make sure the new scenery objects are noticed, even though FSX normally does it automatically at start-up. I now see the "light bulbs" elevated above the ground, but have no base. What am I doing wrong?

This is what Lightstoo is supposed to look like

What program did you use to place the lights along the runway?

I didn't know you had to use another program to place the objects? You didn't mention this in the Readme, or give any suggestions of any programs to use.

The LIGHTSTOO package is for freeware authors to place these scenery objects around the airports they develop. They can be placed by a number of placement and airport design programs such as ADE by Jon Masterson or Instant Scenery from Flight 1.

Lightstoo will not automatically replace your stock FSX lighting. Lightstoo is a collection of scenery objects that freeware authors may use to place the included objects in their sceneries. It is only an object library.
