Here are some shots I made while doing a pilot's pre-flight exterior walk around of the new Captain Sim B-52 exterior model showing the level of visual detail - pretty cool stuff. Right now the release is just the exterior model - uses the default 747 cockpit and sounds - the last shot gives some idea of what the VC will look like when the full release comes out
Nose area - pitot tubes clear - no "Remove Before Flight " streamers
Forward main gear - tire pressure and tread looks good
Inboard engines - inlet covers removed and inlets clear - fan blades look good
Engine nacelles - all panels secure and no leaks. You can see the crew entry steps that we'll use to get back in the cockpit extended under the forward fuselage
Flaps - fully extended and no asymmetry (determined by looking at the outboard flaps off the picture to the right)- no dents or holes
Tail cone - all panels in place and secure
Bomb Bay - clear, no ordnance loaded
Back in the Cockpit - "OK, let's have the before start checklist"
