Just got MSCFS and am really disappointed...I have a 233mghz proc with 64mg of
ram..a Creative Grpahics Blaster 3d video card (4mg ram)and I can only get
around 3-5 on frame rates at best (graphics set low)..too slowwwwwwww to be any
    good...My FS98 gets around 20-27 fps...what gives..I did the full install on
both. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate a response. I can check here at
the CFS Forum or email me at [email protected]...... Thanks
PS, if there are any other combat flight sims that work better I'd like to know
    about them (I am a newbie).....Thanks again
    Hi,

Check you have DirectX6, the 3D mode is avaible only if you have that one,
    DirectX5 won't work. I tried for you...

I had slow frame rates initially and in the course of re-installing I think it
re-installed the DirectX6 drivers more correctly. This gives me framerates in
the same order as my FS98. ALso now have HUDs in CFS on my add-on panels that I
    don't have in FS98.

Make sure you have DirectX 6 installed. Also, the experience level you select
for the enemy has a big effect; "rookie" is fastest, and "ace" can be very
    slow.

    Hi all,

I have lost the RGB numbers for transparent black, does anyone have them
please? I am trying to fix the JU52 panel so I can see out the windows, and
the trick is to "pour" transparent black into the window pixels.

Does anyone know how to turn off padlock-view
I'm always crashing when flying low
Also it goes nuts when there are a lot of targets
so I'm looking everywhere except were I'm going

What type of aircraft needs the CFS aircraft converter ?? From FS98 ?
Or flightshop planes ?? I tried to convert planes from FS98, but the
CFS converter refuses to do so and always tells me something of "Bad file
format". What am I doing wrong ????

You do not need the converter for fs98 a/c just drag and drop. I believe the
converter is for fs95 and before.

You aren't reading "readme" files! The converter only woks on FS95 or FS5.1
aircraft and not on all of those. FS98 aircraft are copied over direct. The
"readme" file describes how. Bob F.

Try putting something in the subject line next time.
It helps us actually care more.

Here is a really big whine, I bought Microcrap combat unflight so called
simulator, the main reason i bought the retarded game was so i could create
some awsome mission with the mission editor. So to my suprise the mission
editor requires microcrap excell, now i ask you which one of us has microscrap
excel on their home computer. i mean really why would the personal home
computer require a accounting program. so inclosing thanks for the whine, and
for the people with install problems good luck, i had to exchange my copy for
another one. I'm glad microsoft only spent 4 months develping this game, cause
i would'nt want them to think they were releasing game that was'nt ready for
shipment. and the other thing i was browsing past messages and and to my
suprise ther was someone playing Secret Wepons of the Luftwaffe, now there was
a game that should get an graphics upgrade and general overhaul and released
    again
    Thanks for the whine
