I am curious as to what is proprietary design and what is not.

I understand the concept as it relates to a complete aircraft, its paint etc.
However, I am specifically referring to the altering of aircraft.cfg files.

If the internal values of a aircraft.cfg file are altered in order to "provide
more realism" and offered to the public for generic "cut and paste" is this
considered a violation of the copyright?

For example, let's assume that a model's roll rate is too slow and the
appropriate aircraft.cfg file value is increased. If this value is offered to
the public for a small fee in a note pad file form, to be cut and pasted for a
particular aircraft, would this still fall under the author's copyright?

Thanks, -rs-
