Default Gauge references in FSX.cfg, Should I clean the FSX.cfg file

I have installed and uninstalled several aircraft with their own set of gauges, should I clean up the gauge references in the FSX.cfg file or is that necessary... I noticed that there a lot in that file..

I personally don't mess with removing the gauges, I may at some point download another plane that uses those same gauges and they would be re-installed anyway.
As to removing them from the config, those are basically text entries telling the sim what gauges to use with what planes, if you don't use that plane then those entries are ignored by the program.
I don't think it would hurt anything to remove them, or leave them there for that matter, choice is basically yours.

I have been reinstalling aircraft and for some reason when trusting a few helicopter gauges (the hover, hap and another autopilot gauge) after it has accepted when I go to an airport the program locks up. I use the Task Manager to exit then restart FSX and everything is OK. Only these three gauges do it. Tried on my other computer and it works OK. Something in this one maybe rebuild the fsx, cfg? Really don't want to might not be the trouble. Any ideas?
