Default FS2004 Cessna 310 Flaps & Landing gear problem

    Hi,

I originally purchased the Cessna 310 for FS2002 & love it. When FS2004 came out, I also installed it into it, also keeping my FS2002 installation.

I have recently noticed when flying the Cessna 310 in FS2004, about 2 or 3 minutes into the air, the flaps & landing gear no longer work. The landing gear lever moves, but the indicator lights don't come on & the gear doesn't come down. Everything else seems to be working normally, that I can tell. If I reload the plane again, the flaps work & the gear retracts as well as the flaps after I have taken off, but a couple of minutes into the flight they stop working again.

I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling but the problem remains.

Any suggestions for me on this problem?

    Thanks,

    Bob Anderson

You'll need to read the C310 checklist:

    Wing Flaps - 15 deg below 180mph; 15 deg to 35 deg below 160mph

Landing Gear - Extended below 160mph

You're probably going to fast to extend flaps....reduce throttle and bleed off speed to below 180 then try.

Or you could do what I did and edit the C310 aircraft.cfg Flap entry and raise the minimum speed to 190mph for 15deg and 170mph for 35deg which is much easier to reduce to.

Thanks for the info. I should have thought about the speed being the problem. Anyway, that was the problem. I did change the aircraft.cfg to enable higher flap entry speed.

    Appreciate the help.

tsk tsk tsk naughty naughty... the flap entry speed is there for a reason. I hope you're not learning any bad habits!

Your post was some years ago, but I have just had the same problem. In my case it was self inflicted. I had saved the default flight with avionics switched off !!! Switched back on, saved flight and as expected all working OK. Hope this helps
