    I believe it's an acronym for the Italian company that builds
    the plane. Can't remember the exact name.

    ATR is an acronym for the french "Avion de Transport Regional"

    From the ATR website;

    ATR is vested with the experience and know-how of two of the major leading European aerospace industries in the world - EADS and Alenia Aerospazio. (Italy)

    EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company) is a joint-venture between Aerospatiale Matra SA (France), Construcciones AeronÓuticas SA (Spain) and Daimler Chrysler Aerospace AG (Germany) which started July 10th, 2000. It employs 87 000 people.

    so to get ATC to recognize it properly how would I modify the following:
    ----------------------------------
    atc_id=MXA
    atc_airline=
    atc_flight_number=
    ui_manufacturer=
    description=

    [General]
    atc_type=
    atc_model=

    It probably wont recognize the type. I have a Mcdonell Douglas DC-10-30 and an MD83 and only the nd-83 and dc-10 part is recognized

    ----------------------------------
    atc_id=N350PJ
    atc_airline=United
    atc_flight_number=1938
    ui_manufacturer= Avion de Transport Regional
    description=

    atc_type=ATR
    atc_model=72
    performance=
    editable=0

    ATR was a joint venture between Alenia and Aerospatialle.
    Alenia pulled out leaving the project to the French.
    Correct settings are (for the 72):

    atc_id_enable=1
    ui_manufacturer=ATR
    ui_type=ATR 72
    atc_type=AEROSPATIALE
    atc_model=AT72

    For the 42, replace 72 with 42 everywhere :)
