hi your pc should be enough, you could try uninstalled video card then installing it again and it should give you the right update for your card, also i have a nvida gt710 2gb card ,resolution has always been 1024x768x32 , and i run FPS unlimted , mine is the disc version of fsx with acc packand with lots of mixed add ons via download and discs, tbh when i tried setting my resolution ages ago it would not work or look all strange only dlc i had problems installing disc version was space shuttle , but thats now been fixed, i would make sure in the future that you delete all files related to fsx, ,that was my origanal problem and somewhere i had a dupi set of FSX files messing with each fresh install of FSX but default resolution for mine has always been ( 1024x768x32 ) and it runs pretty much perfect , cheers mark

FSX was working great until i bought a acceleration pack, if only i read the part of changing PartMgr before i started fumbling and moving files not knowing what i was doing lol, i deleted acceleration pack and fsx and just reinstalled FSX , now i cant get the base game to accept the product key , and the key was working along with fsx before i installed and unstalled lol i did speak to microsoft but couldnt or woudnt help , i just dont understand how it accepted product key in activasion couple of months ago but now wont accept it , i give up ,

if only i read this before posting , clearly when it comes to computers i am not that clever,# perhaps thats why after owning a pc for manys and plug and play in the late 90s , that i went over to console , maybe its where i should stay lol, kind regards from an oldie .

Hi, I have been enjoying myself on the standard edition Microsoft flight simulator x disc version, The product key activated with no issues along with administrative permissions, Few days ago I decided to buy the acceleration dlc for FSX, installed it and it came up with the error code 1-80004005, After getting fed up i uninstalled the acceleration dlc, And went back to the standard version Anyway couple of days ago I went to play FSX without the acceleration pack and code error 1-80004005 popped up So I 1st did a repair and error code came up, then I deleted standard edition of FSX I reinstalled the standard edition of Microsoft flight simulator x disc version without the acceleration pack and now it comes up with the error code 1-80004005 regardless, I tried doing changing the PartMgr and it says the original product code for the base edition of Microsoft flight simulator x disc is not correct, The product code was accepted and worked before I tried the acceleration pack so I know the code is correct, I contacted Microsoft who weren't interested Please please help, Kind regards
