  1. My favorite short flight is from Andersen AFB (PGUA) on Guam, to Guam International Airport (PGUM), about 15-20 miles or so. I take off from PGUA, fly to PGUM, do touch & goes, then back to PGUA.
  2. Thanks for your reply. It was on Flightsim.to, and yes, it does include my downloads! I used that list to search on Flightsim.to, but so far no luck. NC
  3. Need help, locating a scenery! I download a LOT of sceneries from Flightsim.to, as in almost a Terrabyte so far! I swear I am "addicted" to that site. I try my best to categorize each download immediately, or I forget what it is. All too often, the authors of each scenery don't label the name of their files to accurately indicate what they are, so I make note of it and usually rename it with the airport ID and name. But in this instance, I forgot to do that. Last night I looked through probably a couple hundred listings on Flightsim.to last night, trying to find it so I could rename it!! All I remember was a really cool looking area with a river flowing through it. There was a dam, and (I think maybe a small waterfall on the river?). Also a tower that was mentioned in the description as being used for rescue rappelling training? There was a railroad track going through a tunnel, under the tower. I have given up trying to locate it, but just maybe someone on here has it, or saw it listed?? Thanks, NC
  4. Thanks Plainsman. Yes, I know everyone else does not have this problem, but I need a solution!
  5. Yep, no workee day or night, period. They WERE working, but I cannot narrow it down to exactly when this problem started. I have done all the troubleshooting I can think of, short of a complete uninstall, and I am definitely NOT going to do that unless I have to!!!!
  6. None of my aircraft (stock OR add-on) have working lights. All of the panel lights seem to work OK, and although the external light switches are selected, no dice. Pressing the "L" key turns on/off the panel lights, but nothing else. For example, I just loaded up the A320. Went into cockpit view, and monitored the overhead console lighting switches as I pressed the various individual keyboard commands for all the lights, i.e. Strobe, Navigation, etc.... All Lighting switches move as advertised, but with zero effect, lighting-wise. If I select "L" on the keyboard, the only thing that toggles on/off is Panel lighting, as is the case with all other aircraft. What's even more frustrating is I can't find posts about this same problem anywhere. A couple about panel lighting, but not exterior. Pete
  7. This scenery is a masterpiece! I cannot say enough great things about it. The amount of work that went into creating this scenery was immense; much more than a LOT of payware creations, that is for certain. Do not pass the chance to check this out. You will be amazed at the details that are modeled into it! NC
  8. Does the cargo version of the 747 have a large cargo external door that is animated, or slated for animation ability when MSFS SDK is upgraded?
  9. Thanks for the link. I read through all the posts (3) pages, but unless I missed it, all I saw mention of the Tomcat was one time. And I did not see a reply to it, either. Pete
  10. It's a real shame. I still hold out hope! Pete
  11. Beginning with V5, and continues with V5.1, the afterburner effect for the Aerosoft Tomcat is not visible. It was one of the best AB effects I'd ever seen. Having worked the flight decks of the Independence and the Saratoga, I can confirm. Has a solution been found? Thanks, Navy Chief
  12. Ok. I have a friend who lives just north of Murphy, NC, and cable internet is not available; nor is satellite access. The only way he can get internet is by tethering his phone to his desktop or laptop. Not exactly optimum situation, and he has no idea when internet might be available. So, he had a PC system built. I suggested to him that he have the guy who built his PC - download/install P3DV5 onto his system, as the guy does have cable internet access. Now granted, he would have to take the PC system back to the guy to download major updates, etc..., but it is a workaround at least. He is wondering if his PC will run P3DV5. I am guessing you guys can answer that question! Here is what he's got: Intel® Core™ i7-960 Processor Nvidia GTX 1650 Super 1TB SSD drive 12gb DDR Ram What do you think? If he can get P3DV5 installed, does his system have the capability to run smooth enough? Thanks.
  13. Hi. I am a retired CPO, living about 50 minutes from the museum, north of Pensacola. I have been using Prepar3D since it was initially released. Currently, I have the latest version, P3DV5 installed. Although I am no expert, I am quite familiar with it. Please let me know if you would like me to come down to the museum to talk with you. Thanks, Pete Ward
