Nope the folder is empty by default. Don't worry about it.

Fill the sky with clouds. The night sky in MSFS is pretty accurate compared to the actual night sky once you remove the light pollution.
Turn Dev Mode off. Shut down MSFS. Start MSFS up again. FPS screen gone.

I've done it, through the Content Screen, since day one and I have not had a single issue. And I continue to remove un-needed things after every Update. You'll be just fine if you do this.

Maybe because there were larger issues to fix besides a few lights out of place or a few signs missing. Oh and BTW, MSFS has been out for only 5 months.

Actually install FSX onto your new computer. A copy just won't work because FSX actually installs files into your Windows directory.
