  1. This has bugged me from the very beginning. I continuously struggle in selecting an airport name. They don't even include the country? Seems like just a random list of airports. And they repeat the name of the city, if it's in the airport name - taking up precious space. How nuts is that? Eliminate duplicates! Questions: 1 - Why didn't the developer have the keen insight to save the last airports you selected on the WORLD MAP? 2 - Why only 3 names in the history section? Mine are not my top 3! Can this be expanded somewhere? Options? 3 - Who got to pick 66 recommended airports? 4 - Why not a really advanced, progressive smart search in the Departure Airport and Arrival Airport dropdown? Why go to another prompt altogether just to have to search for an airport? 5 - Sometime this interface really makes me wonder the age of the developers. I'm sorry. 6 - Can I be the only one still frustrated by some of the UI choices and what appears to be a missed opportunity with an intuitive approach? 7 - When will the START OVER button take you to the WORLD MAP page with all your original choices intact? INCLUDING all the FLIGHT PARAMETERS. Just hit FLY again! Is that so hard? I DON"T WANT TO RESTART AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AGAIN!!!! 8 - Some of this stuff is maddening. Sorry for the rant.
  2. Is this project still ongoing? Developed? Status?
  3. A couple days ago I saw a new plane. I believe it was a Beechcraft, but I don't recall the series or model. Now it's gone. Anyone else notice this removal. Why? It was only up for a few days or less.
  4. KJFK to KSWF. Been practicing VFR landings in my new PMDG DC-6. Another route is KSWF to KAVP (Scranton). Landed today in a bad local thunderstorm - on purpose. :) One very fine and realistic classic old bird to fly. The very best in my hanger.
  5. Thanks for those examples Jan. And thanks for the links Khalid. I have a favorite from FS2004 I like to try and convert. Rick
  6. I would interested in knowing the details of this process too. Is there an external application used to do this converting? If there was, seems it would have discovered and well-known for for what it does. I have an older DC-4 that I would love to get working in MSFS. Is it an entirely manual process? R D
  7. @Khalid, So the Lodestar is not available for FS2020? Your scenery fooled me there for a minute until read your last post. I wish more of these classic birds would be may available for 2020. I had Jan Visser's DC-3 for FS2004 and it was my favorite plane to fly. Now I'm falling in love with PMDG's new DC-6. What a stunningly real experience.
  8. Well, if I could get the R4D to work properly in FS2002/2004, maybe I could enjoy flying it. But alas, I have tried everything and still can't get the oval panels to respond on start-up. 'Simulating' and visually stunning don't have to be mutually exclusive in a sim. :) redjr
  9. I'm trying to resurrect my MAAM SIM R4D DC 3 as well. I know 18 years later! :) I've built a WinXP era machine, installed the plane using the disc, but can't for the life of me select either of the oval panels when the flight starts. I had this running fine back in the day, but now that FS2020 is out, I wanted to show my son just how great the R4D looked and flew. It was my favorite plane back in 2002. We've tried everything to get the panels to work, but still no luck. :( I'm waiting for someone to come out with a visually stunning DC-3 for FS2020. Of course, 2020 blows away any of the previous sims, but did want to play with the R4D again - even if on outdated software. redjr
