Could have deleted the FS9.cfg first, before Uninstalling the whole program. On restart, a new cfg file will be created.

What sometimes works:
Copy the exe to the desktop, right click it, select Properties, select Compatibility, then select XP mode. Then select Run as Administrator.

I'm still in hospital getting my mobility sorted. I walked 100 meters today, unassisted. Probably another 2 days, then I'm going home, all being well.
