  1. Sounds to me like you need to reset your barometric pressure..is it 300 ft above and below?....For example..Such n such 11 you are 300ft below your assigned altitude please climb and maintain 37,000 t?
  2. Even when I hit ESC it kills the engines for me in whatever plane I am flying as well. At least now I know to expect it so I always make sure I have enough altitude to restart.
  3. I had this same issue while flying recently. 747-8 KJFK to KSAN somewhere over the midwest I lost ATC and all I heard was my co pilots answers. Even when I opened the drop down ATC box there was no text of their commands. I just figured it was a glitch as it hadnt happened before or since..It was kinda strange.
  4. I'm with Plainsman here. My lappy is almost 3yrs old with an nvidia 1060 almost maxxed on space running graphics on high end not ultra and loving every minute of it. Never had major issues other than what needed patching from Asobo. Every time i fly i am amazed and enthralled. Yeah if I cam around too fast sometimes it crashes but since humans are supposed to be the superior race i evolved and dont cam fast anymore and have no issues. I keep windows updated, pay my cable bill on time and have a blast. Was even using OnAir for a while now I just go and find stuff to look at..With no scientific research I too am of the belief most issues with this sim are user created and brought on by your ownself..IMHO
  5. I too am part of the silent majority of no major issues after updates. i dont run the game higher than my machine can handle and i keep windows updated and I absolutely love Randy's sarcasm..
  6. Yes speed brakes help. I fly the 320 all the time and the only time I have experienced something similar is early on when landing I would turn the AP off but the the auto throttle stays on and would lead to a few go arounds because i couldnt figure out why the throttle kept accelerating. So I would first check to make sure when you turn the AP off you also make sure you have the auto throttle off. Also when on final use selected on your throttle instead of managed as this allows you to manually dial down your landing speed. Also I usually set the auto brakes to max and depending on where I am landing I also use the thrust reversers to help slow my roll out. Those need to be keyed into whatever system you are using and this is important.. Make sure its a unique key and not binded to anything else. One last thing, remember theres a delay sometimes coming out of AP when applying or retarding the throttle.
  7. No pictures again but what a fun flight. I decided to go to the land of my ancestors and take advantage of the new update. King Air from Kristiansund Norway (EKNB) to the farthest north commercial airport on the Island of Svalbard and the Longyear airport (ENSB). Lots of clouds along the route and with no ILS I was a little worried visibility at the airport could be below minimums. But fortunately the cloud layer broke at 2000ft and I was able to make a nice visual approach and touch down. One minor blip in the flight. I was so far north the GPS was having straying issues and I was clean off the VFR map. The airport at Svalbard is really neat looking and the ice flow around the island was unexpected and really cool. Big props to MS and Asobo for adding that realism. I was not expecting that.. Next question is can you land on it.. Great scenery all around with the update and I cant wait to turn live weather off and make it bright and sunny and see the glaciers.
  8. Yup since day 1 for me.. Not sure how accurate it is as I have flown beyond the ring.
  9. Make sure your windows are up to date with the latest whatevers. I had the same issue and found my windows 10 was out of date..Problem solved
  10. No fancy pictures as I keep forgetting how, another topic, anyways did a few fun flights in the good ole 172. Forgot how fun that is eeven though it doesnt climb worth a darn...Started out with a late afternoon VFR trip from Tacoma KTIW to Ocean Shores W04. After buzzing the beauty that is the Chambers Bay golf course I proceeded to travel south to Olympia then out to the coast with a nice soft approach from the north. After a quick refuel and a bite to eat it was time to climb back into the 172 and head off from W04 down the coast past Long Beach into Astoria Oregon KAST for a dusk landing. From there it was time to find the sun so I repositioned the 172 to the big island and Hilo international PHTO for a VFR flight via the Hawaii observatory to PHNP and Ford Island field for a fun grass strip landing..All in all a fun way to spend a rainy day off. Took over 30 minutes to spiral up an altitude high enough to get over the top of Mauna Kea. Very impressed with the observatory complex..They did a great job modeling it..Until the next adventure.
  11. Make sure your windows are up to date with the current version..Not installing windows updates can cause CTD's
  12. Units?...You can manually adjust the dial by the single digits if I remember correctly if you want to set a specific airspeed.
  13. Ahhhhhh the old photogrammetry trick. It's a playful little gremlin that one..But not the end of the world..Cmon man its just a game and a damned good one to boot.
  14. Another example of the sim being fine, just a little user error. Glad you got it figured out and happy flying.
