  1. Havent been on the sim for a while, went on tonight and you can barely see the Garmin screens in the darkness, even when you use the knobs. Old post i know but why are these things barely visible?
  2. It seems after the last few updates that the Garmin screens in the Citation Longitude are always dull and somewhat shaded now. I turned up the brightness but it always has that weird look like light is directly on it. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
  3. Well...nevermind. I plugged my monitor into one outlet and my CPU into another. Now the flickering is gone. Also i turned on vsync (which i have never had on) and now the line/blocky issues while moving the camera is gone. For a newb i seem to learn something new every time i turn this sim on.
  4. So out of nowhere im noticing that when i click certain things in the sim, the light in my room will flicker. I live in a new place with a new gaming computer that has a 3080 GPU. Also when im in the cockpit and look around, the pillars look blocky during movement; or you can see lines like the screen isnt refreshing fast enough or something. If you guys can think of anything let me know. This just started happening out of nowhere. Thanks.
  5. Since the latest update, i have also had multiple crashes. Basically a start a flight and it crashes within 30 minutes; buzzing noise and freezes. Then i restart and there are no issues. It may have something to do with the map im running in a browser; i see things slow down when i start to use it.
  6. Man thats beautiful. So do we have any idea how they do it or determine snow on the ground? I have been flying in the Montana and Wyoming area which is always getting snow this time of year and there is none on the ground anywhere, but weather seems to be working overall.
  7. I get it, its a complicated game. I'm still amazed at how much it does do right, but its bizarre that it really doesn't work at all. I 'am new to PC gaming and its overall been a great experience, but I still feel somewhat confused on all these updates claiming something and the exact opposite happens.
  8. Hello everyone, Since the latest update I have seen a few places covered in snow, and sometimes in the air. But the last few days I have seen none. It has snowed in my area for the last two days; but when I use the in game live weather there is nothing on the ground. It just seems to read from the current weather and put it as that. Same goes for REX weather force. I realize there are still bugs but am I missing something? To add, how is the weather system in the game determining "when" ice or snow is on the ground? Thanks in advance.
  9. New guy here, awesome video. How in the world did you get all the video of everything around the airport including in the airport and around downtown? Real cool.
  10. Google maps as in importing their data or an actual map while flying? The one popular add on VR map works well while flying.
  11. Edit: I found it in settings and yes its all turned on. I agree that it should not look like that. I feel like that happens in a few cities i fly in, not all of them. I understand graphics being up and down but that is literally just boxes with zero detail even from a distance so something has to be off.
  12. Hello again, I have a question about how graphics work in a sim like this and i will post a picture below. First of all the sim looks great and i have had (after doing some tweaking) some great flights. I'm still blow away by the graphics overall. But in some places the buildings show absolutely no detail. I'm thinking this might be due to how far away I am while flying, not sure. Some places on the map look so much better than others, especially when its a building that is "sticking out" so to speak or a high rise. Its not a complaint I'm just more or less curious why some buildings look like the picture below and some look so much better. The buildings in the picture are essentially just boxes, but the mapping in front of these buildings on the ground looks outstanding. The setting it was on was ultra. i9-10900kf 3.7 Turbo 5.2 Asetek 550LC Liquid cooling CPU 2 TB SSD 2400/1950 32GB T Force Delta ram TUF RTX3080
  13. Just learned this by downloading the MSI software. Windows was telling me low %'s but im between 88-99 on the software. It seems to be running good now. If i got into the Geforce software and put power management as high performace, the GPU runs a lower %. If i put it to normal it runs higher and better. My temp was between 60-64 in the heaviest flights with the side cover off; about 73 with it on. I just did one of the longest flights i have ever done with no issues, skips, or anything. It ran very well. The only thing ive done now is put the texture filtering to high (in geforce software), the virtual ram "upgrade", and put my CPU to high priority. I was actually surprised because im flying on ultra and its smooth as silk all of a sudden.
