  1. Yes, I have the latest drivers for the card. Same issues as the last 2 driver updates.
  2. Not familiar with shader cache. I will delete the fsx.cfg and see. Misleading? There are posts in several flight sim sites which talk about GeForce settings for FS2004 and FSX when dealing with these cards.
  3. Another alternative is to bring up the throttle quadrant and mouse the reverse thrust levers back to flight position.
  4. Gurus, I recently switched out my video card from Geforce 1030 to the GTX 1050Ti. Now in FSX none of my aircraft have textures. They all have cockpits and pilots and lights show. They fly fine, but have no textures at all. I have adjusted settings and still no joy. Anyone else have this video card where everything shows as intended?
  5. Thanks Steve. I'll hold out for a while. I run FSX and FS9 at max levels with my PC just fine. I haven't tried P3D yet. Lee
  6. Must be a Florida thing from the locations of you all on the car warranty calls. I live in Melbourne, Florida and my wife and I both get them for a car we haven't had for ten years. I think I have most of the numbers blocked on my cell phone. I haven't gotten any trying to buy my house yet. Though, with all the north-easterners fleeing their State governments........ I certainly could be enticed. $750,000.00 for my house would buy a nice motorhome to go sightseeing in...
  7. Pardon the intrusion into your conversation, I have not taken the plunge yet into MSFS 2020. What are the minimum and optimal computer specs to be able to enjoy it? I am running an MSI A320 Pro MB, Ryzen 3, 3.6Ghz Quad Core CPU, 8Gigs of RAM, GeForce GTX1030-2Gig Video Card. Have 550Gbts of HD space on 1TB HD. 400Meg Bandwidth Oops! Windows 10X64.
  8. Hmmm, If you converted it to a CFS2 model, added a front seat pilot as a weapon in the DP file and then convert it back to FS2004? I know it can be done in CFS2. Several pilots, gunners, etc., are added to aircraft in the DP files.
  9. So, do either of you have a recommendation for better free textures for FS2004?
  10. Here is how I fixed it so that there is now no longer screen locking: [Window02] Background_color=2,2,2 size_mm=300,220 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=8 visible=0 ident=GPS_PANEL window_size= 0.500, 0.500 window_pos= 0.500, 0.500 gauge00=FS9Garmin!GNS530, 0,0,300,219
  11. I installed The Natural World 2019 software by Howard R Smith into my FS2004; A Century of Flight. What a great add-on! If you all haven't downloaded and installed it, (or similar textures), you are not getting the fullness of FS2004 capabilities. It is, in my opinion, the best add-on for pure terrain graphics enhancement. Thank you Howard R. Smith. Lee
  12. Thanks Bill, Here is my panel config for the GPS.... [Window02] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=456,378 position=8 visible=0 ident=GPS_PANEL window_size= 0.500, 1.000 window_pos= 0.000, 0.000 gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0,456,378
  13. I searched back to 2010 in the FS2004 forum using GPS as the search criteria. I did not find anything close to what I am experiencing. In the Cessna 404 Titan, along with a few other aircraft, when I hit the GPS icon it locks the screen and the sim. I have to ctrl alt delete - switch user, sign out, or restart Windows to do anything. Mouse and keyboard do nothing to exit the sim. In the titan the GPS comes up as half the screen and will not allow me to shrink it to a reasonable size. Anyone know how to fix this?
  14. Thanks guys. I removed Claude's Perth and put in Ray Smith's AFCAD and it all works fine now. I have Claude's other airports and no problems. Perhaps I will place each bgl back in one at a time and see which one(s) cause the issue. I'll also look for the duplicate in the map, if any. Lee
