I am not seeing any crashes or BSOD. Do you have anything in the community folder? Is your case cooling sufficient? What kind of cooler are you running on your CPU?

Maybe something is set to go dormant when there isn't activity? Try a reboot and see if you get fps back up to normal? I guess it could also be some kind of thermal protection shutting down??
