  1. Thanks for the useful replies guys. I could not find any assistance menu items directly related to taxiing but I did see the "auto rudder" item was checked so I unchecked it and ..........it did the trick! I'm now back in control on the ground. I have also been vexed by the apparent too wide turning circle of my planes when taxiing and while testing the above I discovered that if I rapidly click the brake trigger whilst turning using the twist grip it makes the turn much tighter. Bob. Bob.
  2. It could be my setting but if so I don't know what needs changing. The problem I have is after landing, which usually goes well, and I slow down to taxi and then the plane seems to have a mind of it's own and just wanders off out of control. The brakes work but the rudder seems to have no authority over the nose wheel steering even though the rudder control in the air seems OK. This happens with all my planes, which are mostly just the stock FS2020 ones. I use a Thrustmaster T Flight X stick with twist grip rudder control. Any ideas that might help ? Bob.
  3. Due to advancing age and ill health I have decided to wind up the PAD web site. This will take effect on February 16th 2022 so plenty of time for FSX and FS2004 simmers to download and keep any of our 50+ models or 1000+ repaints on the site. http://www.premaircraft.com All of our models have at various times over the last 20 years have been uploaded to the flightsim.com file library so of course they will always be available there. Many thanks to the flight simming community for your support and encouragement over the years and special thanks to Stephanie Lawton who helped me to keep the site going with her excellent repaints after the sad deaths of my design colleagues Barry Blaisdell and Jean-Pierre Brisard. Bob May Note to moderator: I would be obliged if you would make this notice a "sticky"
  4. The more I fly MSFS the more I like it but one annoying "bug" that I'm surprised no-one else seems worried by is the knee high weeds present on every grass runway. In my, admittedly limited, real world experience of grass runways I have never seen such neglect of mowing. The designers of MSFS scenery have created some wonderful effects never before seen in a flight sim and I am amazed that they seem not to be able to represent a mown grass runway realistically. Bob
  5. Thanks for the reply Stinger and others. Seems odd to me that so much work and detail has been put into this sim but a basic thing like opening a door on a C172 is not possible.
  6. Apologies if this has already been asked in this forum, if so I can't find it. Nowhere can I find if the doors open on the stock aircraft, and if so how it is done. The controls and assignment pages don't mention it, I even bought the Sofly 222 page manual but no mention there. Any help? Bob.
  7. It seems that some multi-player servers do not like the file d83.gau which is in the panel folder. Deleting this file usually fixes this prob. Bob PAD
