  1. The new patch will stop in progress bush trips from advancing. You have to start over from the first leg. On the official forums there is a developer mode teleport fix discussed to complete all lost legs and continue from where you were supposed to. I just never bothered with that and redid all the Balkans bush trip legs I had lost. Since the C172 G1000 you use on that trip has autopilot, it was no big deal to get back in a couple of days of watching the scenery go by.
  2. It's been many years but in one of the previous Microsoft Flight Simulator releases there was a VOR tutorial I remember taking. There is no distance information being broadcast, but you can still navigate. You do have two VOR radios. What they want you to do is tune into the next two VOR points. You fly towards the first bearing until your second one has the correct bearing indicated. Then you start flying towards the second one and replace the first one with the third one, and onwards. 3. Personally I haven't had to make a yoke unstick, but I have lubricated mechanical keyboards and speedcubes. I would not recommend WD-40 at all, as it is not really a lube, but a water repellent. It dries up over times, and leaves a sticky residue that attracts dirt and could make the problem worse. I also am not sure how safe it is on electronics or plastic. If I were you, I would try a silicon or teflon based grease. I have had good experience with these products: The first one is a grease, thick and will stay in place for a long time. This would be my first choice. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XBH9HI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The second one is a thin viscosity oil that you can use in places you can reach by allowing it to flow in there. Won't last very long as it is about the consistency of water. Will have to apply repeatedly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OBV1JC2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you want a thicker viscocity oil than the second one, you can also try this one. It will stick around longer than the thin oil, but not as well as the grease. https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-51004-Synthetic-Viscosity/dp/B000UKUHXK/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=Super+Lube&qid=1600232329&sr=8-9
  4. The custom liveries will not show up in my hangar, but they do when starting a flight. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  5. This is fantastic news on the 787 mod. I am nowhere near being able to fly an airliner any time, but I love watching the videos of A320-NX mod with all the new switches. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  6. Use 7 zip to view the content of file and move the add on folder to the Community folder. & zip will not have issues with long location names like windows built in unzipper does.
  7. I was fighting autopilot at first too. Then watched several of the YouTube videos explaining how to use it and then it finally clicked for me. Now I am doing the Patagonia bush trip and using it with zero issues. It's a matter of looking what mode it is in, what attitude, altitude, and heading you plane is in, and how you get the plane to get where you want by changing autopilot settings. 8. Since the name of the add on folder doesn't matter, you can rename them to what you like, such as Aircraft-addonname, Airport-addonname, etc. This should keep them organized. You can't currently do a subfolder structure within community. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  9. After installing the patch FS 2020 crashed on the first couple of starts. I was worried I was going to have to download everything again, but I went ahead and repaied the install to fix any lingering errors. Then I did what has always worked for me to minimize crashes. I started FS 2020 in administrative mode. It has been running like a charm ever since.
  10. The leg description is not vague at all to me. It says thing like fly from start to point A, to B, to C, to D, and then to airport/strip E, and shows you a picture of what the E looks like. Even if B, C, and D are cities with airports, why would you ever land there when the picture of the place is not shown? Each leg is as simple as keep flying till you run out of waypoints described and see a place that looks like the picture. Since the legs are less than 30 minutes long each typically, why bother with landing anywhere in the middle?
  11. You can use settings app to repair the installation. You have to start off as if you are uninstalling the program, but instead of hitting uninstall, click on advanced and then repair. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  12. I usually have both XBox One controller and my HOTAS connected with no issues. The trick is to unbind all common keys from the XBox One controller in the profile. Since I use the gamepad just for the superlative default drone camera control, that and the two menu settings are the only assigned inputs I use. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
  13. I am doing that activity and did the leg today. You are not supposed to land in Bishop, but fly past it for quite a while until you get to Madame Airport in Nevada. The leg description clearly tells you to.
  14. I bought the HOTAS One to upgrade from my old Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro standalone stick. I was looking at the T.16000M too, but the One was $80, while the 16000 M throttle and stick were around twice as much. The HOTAS One, X, and 4 are very similar and are work with PC and XBox One, PS4, and PS3 respectively. The X is about $20 cheaper, but doesn't have a port to plug in radar pedals. The One also has a few more buttons on the base. Since FS 2020 is coming to XBox too, I figure the HOAS One was best for me. I could have kept my old stick and just bought the throttle that came with T.16000M as the other option. Sometimes I wish I had, but not too unhappy with my current setup Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
