  1. Hi Everyone We are looking for a couple of beta testers that can rip apart a scenery project our team has been working on. Anyone willing to provide solid feedback with an understanding of some of the general and limitations of the current SDK and reasonable time/value that goes into a project like this is welcome. If you are running MSFS 2020 without and major issues, can provide current specs and are good with describing your encounters we would love to speak with you. More than happy to provide a finished copy of the scenery for your time. If you are from the Upper Midwest you might be intrigued. :) This is an MSFS 2020 only project. Feel free to DM me. Nick
  2. Its not overkill. You'll be set up for the next couple of years. If you can afford it its fine. FWIW you can have someone build you the same PC and spend probably a grand less. I know everyone loves the Alienware warranty but to each their own. I spent 3000 i9 9900 2080 ti 16gig 64 gig ram Aorus motherboard. 2 tb of SSD etc. There are some solid builders around if you do some research and I got the computer delivered within a week.
  3. Two flights since update. Both in the Longitude ending in a third party scenery and when shutting off landing lights. CTD each time.
  4. For those of you that have it. Its worth connecting to the sim. The compatibility is pretty damn fluid and it brings a ton of new features, especially if you have the add ons for it. The intuitive features that it comes with take a lot of the "sim" work out of the cockpit and cuts back on workload.
  5. Having the weather fixes is good. However, flying around boston last night it was strange to be getting partly cloudy skies and sever lightning. Looks like it still needs some tweaking.
  6. yes. same situation for me. happened on the ground after i landed
  7. Yuri Take a look in the settings menu and see what your flight model is set to. If its on Legacy that might be the problem. I had a bit of trouble that was similar to what you described. During approach or climb out, i would experience extreme banks with the plane. Once I changed it to modern it felt 1000 times better. Nick
  8. Actually...... So it might be more obvious for some others.... If you look at the text boxes on the side of the bush trip section. Not the master page but the one that is dedicated to the regional bush trip. There is a scroll feature. I just scrolled down through all of the trips. They look like waypoints so it easy to miss. I then saw all of the ones i had completed and checked off. Bingo. All good.
  9. Been able tp jump in and out of my nevada bush trip over the last few days. Came in today and all of my progress was gone. Now it wants to start me back at the beginning. On the first try it put me back at the airport I last landed at. However, there was a controller issue so I tried again and it killed my progress. Anyone else face this?? Nick
  10. I went from legacy to modern. I was impossible to fly on legacy (hadn't adjusted the sliders) Once I went over to modern the whole thing felt much more real. FWIW.
  11. For those that are intersted. So what had happened was...... After some testing and tweaking. It was on legacy mode. Good god. I implore anyone having issues with controls or random movements etc. CHECK THAT SETTING. Turned it to Modern and its a whole new sim. Ran a bunch of touch and goes with the C172 and it was like butter. Im slowly finding settings and tweaks that are pealing away the layers of what could be frustration for many others.
  12. Kapitan Thanks for the reply. I versed in p factor etc. Thats why i dropped that line of knowing how to fly. I meant in real life. :) What im seeing is violent roll to the left and right immediately after wheels up. It feels like its fighting a handoff between two systems. Let me put it this way. If left unchecked it would take about a second and a half to put the plane on its side, into a stall and into the ground. With a reasonable counter input it will completely over correct to the other side. This seems well beyond torque from the engine. Ill do some testing tonight and see if i can solve.
