  1. Hi. I solved my own problem!! The call-sign information in the "Customization" tab within the aircraft selection had been cleared with the last update. Sorry to bother you all, but maybe someone else had the same issue. Tim
  2. Since the recent update, ATC refers to me by Boeing 787 or ASX787 (I'm flying a B787-10). When I look at my Hangar, my correct call-sign is there. Has anyone else experienced this peculiarity? The only recent coincidental activity is I purchased FS Realistic Pro. Tim
  3. Same as chicagorandy, here in Toronto. Updated late in the afternoon yesterday and it was slow. It also took a couple of 'clicks" until I realized it was updating behind the scene. The Content Manager part was also slow, but in the end, completed and flying!
  4. Hi fellow simmers. I have not acquired any add-ons for MFS 2020, but this one has peaked my interest. Has anyone tried it and if so, please provide your experience? Thx. Tim
  5. Thanks Tim. I will try the tutorial. I don't have any add-ons at all, just the "vanilla" version of MFS. Tim
  6. Hi all. Since the last update (which did state changes to the 787 & 747 flight systems), I cannot get the LNAV to work. The Heading selection won't release when I click on LNAV (as it did before). Is there a way to disengage the Heading setting? Does anyone know of a recent tutorial (or anything else) which will help me solve this issue. I am also finding it very difficult to use the mouse on the Heading button (also since the last update), but only on the right side for starboard turns. It seems to be very, very sensitive to find the "sweet spot" and I end up having to use "Ctl 2" to get a closer view of the panel. Thanks for any & all input. Tim Ontario, Canada
  7. Hi. I have experienced this as well, but it isn't consistent. I just tolerate it, hoping that someone will fix it soon!!
  8. Smooth update yesterday. Once the initial update completed (about an hour), I went to the Content Manager page and those updates took about 40 minutes. All running as it should.
  9. Budreiser, Like you, my "go-to" airplane is the 787 and I have also commented on this continued ATC anomaly. Until such time as it gets corrected, when I am about 150 KMs out, I request a sizable decrease in cruising altitude. It usually works, but not always and I end up bursting my passenger's eardrums with a nose dive. Thankfully, nobody is rating my flights!!! Tim
  10. I too forgot about the Marketplace for the WU. While it's not a big issue, I am curious as to why one update will start from the "Checking for Updates" screen, whereas others are located in the Content Manager. Nevertheless, smooth update and no issues running it. Tim (Ontario, Canada)
  11. There was a very small update "patch" today when I loaded the sim. Not sure what it was covering, but when I loaded the A310 to fly around, as it was loading, a message appeared along the bottom with some trivia, but also that it would take longer to load the A310 the first time, but after that should be normal loading time. I also have experienced an odd anomaly - when I push my throttle forward in the A310 when on the runway, it automatically engages reverse thrust. In the air it's fine. This is the only aircraft where that has happened. I check my settings, but nothing looks off. Strange.
  12. I have tried it a few times - mostly the pre-set Princess Juliana approach. A very different aircraft to fly and unlike the A320. Slower response times and hard to stabalize. Always good to have variety though!!
  13. I don't know how often Bing Maps is updated, but the USS Gerald R Ford Aircraft carrier arrived in Halifax harbour 2 weeks ago. Maybe that's what it is (or supposed to be).
  14. I was into the 2nd leg of a Bush Trip and had the driver warning message come up (which shut me down). I realized I wasn't up-to-date with my Nvidia drivers, so loaded 526.47. I restarted my PC and reloaded the trip. I completed the 2nd leg with no issues. My system specs: W10 64 Bit OEM Version 2004 (19041.685) Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E; 32GB RAM CPU: Intel Core i7-9700KF 8-Core/8-Thread Processor GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, 8GB Peripherals: CH Flight Sim Yoke
  15. As a related comment, I find that the vectoring-in for airliners is typically later than one would expect. Consequently, as I am likely blowing my passengers inner ears out as a result of the descent rate. What I have been doing on some flights (in the 787), is requesting a lower cruising altitude when within about 150 KM, so my descent isn't as lengthy & steep. Good luck! Tim
