  1. My most recent freeze with MSFS SU14 is that I cannot start a flight av EYVI Vilnius (in Lithuania). Not that I have tried that airport with earlier versions of MSFS, but now it is impossible to start a flight there, but OK to land IFR/manually both with default scenery and with addon airport scenery. When trying to start a flight - either cold or on the runway - the sim freezes at the end of the loading blue indicator at the bottom of the screen. Starting at the neighbour airport EYKA works with default and addon scenery. I have reported to Zen desk.
  2. It is possible that this small update works also with the standard edition of EGLL - download and try.
  3. Thanks for the links. I should have found them myself, but... Now I have performed both suggestions in this thread. Both came out with similar results for me; changing the airport ID in the .xml file or changing it via ADE. Having deleted everything with ADE in the stock airport I have compiled the "empty" airport .bgl file. I have tried compiling to Addon Scenery/scenery, and to Scenery/World/scenery. Between every compilation I have updated from inside FSX Settings/Scenery or restarted FSX. I find the new airport ICAO code and name in the selection list but have no success when choosing it. My results sofar consist of: Double airports if I don't change the ID of my new version of the airport. FSX crash when choosing the airport if airport ID is changed (from ESPC to ESNZ and corresponding fields to new airports name). No difference in result if I compile with different file names. But if I delete the airport .bgl files ("alt" and both with and without "cvx" files created from the deleted stock airport wether they are placed in World/Scenery or AddonScenery/Scenery) and change back to the original ID (ESPC) I get the new airport without double. This happens despite all other fields changed to the new airport name. The ID seems impossible to get around. If you have any idea about what I may have done wrong to end in failure here please let me know.
  4. Thanks. Will try your suggestion and see if I can manage!
  5. There is a real world airport (at least one) that has it's ICAO code changed by authorities. What would be the smartest way of changeing that for the FSX world to offer it as a freeware airport (with other adjustments like taxiways and signs)?
  6. Well, it has been a nuisance when flying on line and not knowing which of the two to abide by. But I will follow (?) your example and fly in september for a while. Thaks for responding!
  7. I have system time checked and just one hour offset. I don't recognize this from last spring or fall for that matter. But now in october...
  8. Is it only my FSX Steam installation that get winter time offsets all of a sudden, while at least European winter time is introduced on October 27? What can you do?
  9. I flew LFPG - EHAM and at landing the flightplan updated spontaneously and my A318 turned cold and dark on the runway. The message in red on black background was "Flight plan modified! Panel will be reloaded in few seconds. Wait..." ,both at starting a cold and dark aircraft with a flight plan and when landing. Tommy
  10. I have successfully installed all 1.55 versions of A318 - A321, including transfer of liveries for the PA fleet that I used with version 3. Concerns and suggestions: 1. When I have started battery, engaged the ADIRS and arranged the VC position laterally and horisontally I go to flight planning, loading a flight. Then the aircraft goes all cold and dark, and have to go through my "start-up" procedure again. Is there an explanation for this and a solution. This does not happen in the V.3 version - the flight plan is simply entered there with no other changes. 2. In online flight ATC advises on a STAR or transition with short notice. Other times ATC directs the pilot to a certain waypoint which usually is part of a transition (that the pilot might have loaded beforehand). Would it be possible to introduce a "direct to waypoint"-function by clicking one of the waypoints in a chosen STAR / transition or writing the waypoint number without checking if it is a terminal waypoint or a route STAR waypoint (the name of the waypoint normally being unique for the airport)? As I understand it I can fix this only by deleting the waypoints that are listed before the desired waypoint (which the manual advises not to do). 3. I miss the possibility of engageing alt/speed/v/s/hdg individually. Now they are engaged either in managed or selected mode with A/THR and A/P as the only options. The advise on the panel "Push to level off" by the V/S knob indicates how the knobs work differently now compared to before version 1.55. Can another on/off function for the auto pilot functions be constructed? Regards, Tommy Engman
