  1. Try Where is the autopilot in the JMB VL-3? - Discussion Hub / Aircraft - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  2. A321 or C150, aircraft fly and maintain altitude and speed through a combination of power and pitch. Something was upsetting this and without further information, who knows? There are so many possibilities but screen shots of your instruments at the time could possibly give a lead as to what was happening.
  3. Does it like a charm, and has done so since 2020. I run LittleNavMap on one side of the main screen and Navigraph on the screen on the other side. There is a port for a fourth screen, but that may be pushing my luck. This pausing in flight and freezing is recent, albeit infrequent, and I sometimes wonder if it may be the FBW A320, which I have only recently started to fly.
  4. I am having the same issue, although not on every flight. I changed from the development version to the FBW A 320 to the stable version to see if that was the issue but it did not make much difference. Sometimes, but not every time, pressing the Pause key will get it running again.
  5. I believe that it is up to the pilot to request a specific type of approach and it is up to ATC to approve or otherwise. This URL describes the procedure in the USA; https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/atc_html/chap4_section_8.html On reading this publication, the logic of both the pilot and ATC knowing the type of approach being attempted, allows ATC to update the pilot on any changes that may affect the approach e.g. glideslope equipment failing or runway visual range changes. After watching analyses of aircraft crashes on YouTube, it would appear that ATC does record communications with aircraft. Whether this applies for all jurisdictions, I do not know.
  6. No, I have not. Since I submitted this post, I found a 2021 discussion that identified it as a FBW problem. I have not found anything further, so I am hoping that someone on the forum may have an update on it. I find that these things can take a lot of tracking down but you also learn a lot in the process. In the meantime, it is frustrating when it occurs.
  7. I am using SimBrief to create flight plans for the FBW A320NX. I have a Navigraph subscription and am using the current Airac cycle. SimBrief, Navigraph and LittleNavMap are all displaying that they are using the same cycle. The SimBrief plans are not creating a TOD and have incorrect constraints for the Descent phase. For instance, the charts require one waypoint to be at 9000ft, but SimBrief has me passing it at FL220. The result is that I am flying too high and too fast to land if in Managed mode. On the other hand, if I import the SimBrief plan into LittleNavMap, all the constraints are correctly shown, and I find that strange. It is happening on flights in Europe but I have not experienced it in flights within Australia. I realize that I can use Selected mode to descend and land, but I should not have to. I would appreciate any thoughts.
  8. On the FBW A320, during push back and towing, the annunciator in the cockpit shows a warning, in red, indicating that nosewheel steering is disconnected. 'Disconnected' may be a clearer statement than saying that the steering is locked.
  9. The updates do not happen automatically. FBW will notify you of an update, in MSFS, when you open the A320. It is up to you to go to the Installer and carry out the update manually. If you have the stable version, this does not happen often; if you have the development version, it seems to happen every few days. You can also go to the Installer at any time and check if there are any updates available.
  10. The magenta triangle is displaying the target managed speed for Descent Mode. The two magenta horizontal lines are showing the range the aircraft will deviate from the target managed speed as it attemps to match the descent profile.
  11. The attached image is of the FBW A320 PFD. What are the two magenta/pink horizontal lines to the right of the speed tape indicating? I just cannot seem to find a reference to them anywhere.
  12. The flight plan and details can be loaded automatically into the MCDU from Simbrief via the electronic flight bag on the FBW A320. I am not familiar with the Fenix version but could it be that with the Fenix, a different procedure is required?
  13. Just to the right of the box that you filled with 'A320...', you will see another box for 'Variant or Airframe'. It currently says 'Default', which I believe is the Asobo A320, but a click of the down button should show you any other A320 variant aircraft that you have installed.
  14. This is very good advice if you are prepared to hang on for a little while longer before deciding your purchase.
