  1. Thank you miatamariner. Someone pointed me to a cute little "aircraft" - fsx_tower_rs.zip that turns the FSX multiplayer tower into a brick aircraft you can slew around and get into position, then, there's a little Control Tower Adjuster.exe in the package that allows you to set the height. Working perfectly. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. Combined with the other forums, I now have the perfect control tower I can move around to where ever I like. :)
  2. Hmmm...double post above. Big snowstorm up here might have caused a internet hiccup. Anyway, I've been playing with this and man, it's really awesome. The only issue I'm having now, is at some addon airports (i.e. Flytampa Toronto CYYZ) the tower sits way too low - about half the height of the actual tower. Other than that, it's really cool. Thanks again mqytn!
  3. @mqytn: That's a even better option that using Rik's control tower. You are my hero! Thank you. 🍻
  4. The only thing that seems to "work" on the panel is the ability to switch between STB and the active on COM 1. There doesn't appear to be a way to select a frequency. When you first use the "aircraft" at any airport the frequency for ground is pre-selected in the active COM 1. If you open up the ATC window and select ATIS the frequency in the panel changes. It changes back to ground when you select that. I'll give this a try mgytn.
  5. Is anyone here familiar with this addon from the Rikoooo website? I recently filled my FSX:SE skies with a TON of AI traffic from here and AIG and thought it would be fun to play with this little toy and watch all the shiny new (...to me...LoL) aircraft come and go from the tower perspective as some of my favourite airports. It works great but there's one teeny tiny little problem. There's no radio panel so my only choice is listening to ATC ground or ATIS at whatever airport I'm at. I couldn't make sense of the Rikoooo forum to do any research there so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows how I might be able to add a radio panel so I can switch from ground to tower frequencies. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, BEAR
  6. I just checked the FSXWX weather engine and it appears to be working now. This makes me very happy.
  7. I tried the FSrealWX Pro unregistered version today and it works great. After my flight I had a look at the FSXWX website and it looks like it's back up and running. I'll check the FSXWX weather engine later tonight. Cheers, Barry
  8. I'm really bummed by this. I can't afford a payware weather engine at the moment. I downloaded and tried FSrealWX lite but it appears to no longer be supported. I couldn't get it working at least. :(
  9. I like to follow my favourite sport teams around (NHL, OHL, MLB, NFL, and the occasional NASCAR race). I do this mainly with my PC-12 (from Flight1) and my PC-24 (from Iris). I've added dozens of freeware and payware airports and sceneries for all of the cities I hit. When there's a day or two between games I just fly back to my home airport. To change things up a bit from time to time I do special tours. I've done a Capitol Cities World Tour with the PC-12. I completed a Canada 150 tour by hitting each provincial capitol and a tour of Route 66 with my DHC-2 Beaver (from Aeorosoft). Right now, I have the Beaver sitting in Clearwater FL ready to follow the Toronto Blue Jays around Spring Training and when that tour is done, I'll be tracing the Mississippi River from Louisiana to it's headwaters in Minnesota. From there I'll jump it over to Vancouver BC and start a tour of the Trans-Canada Highway. All of my tours with the Beaver are done low altitude VFR. As with my sports team following I look for (mostly freeware) airports and sceneries for my tours.
