  1. A very innocent and funny question for MSFS... can you not make helicopters to fly just a little like in FSX? I mean, without having to change all of the extra fancy configuration settings in the program, look at all the well-meaning tutorials around the net and reading all the -somewhat incomplete- manuals? In other words, how about having a look at the flight model in MSFS?
  2. A little question for our experienced simmers: Has anybody gotten the elevator trim on airplanes to work normally as in FSX did? No amount of tweaking will do it in MSFS2020, as far as I can tell. I use a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro. Any ideas?
  3. It is true that graphics in MSFS2020 has surpassed previous flight sims but the flight model continues to be below par. MSFS2020 has even given the option to use the FSX flight model but since airplanes are being designed with the more modern one in mind, some still fly like they are attached to bungie chords. Also, since new airplane folders are pretty difficult to reach and edit, changing some parameters of the flight dynamics has become an unappealing exercise.:)
  4. It is somewhat funny and at the same time annoying to have such magnificent world views in a flight sim and at the same time the worst camera system one could devise and flight dynamics that, shall we say, is like flying on rubber bands -not on rails- as many fellow FSX pilots typified over the years. Since I fly mostly VFR, enjoying pretty airplanes from the outside tha, added to the pretty scenery, could make for an enjoyable experience that is unfortunately ruined by the perception that your airplane -GA or airliner- does not fly quite right, the trim takes forever with no chance of adjusting it, rudder feels like a slew command -more displacement than yaw-, and a landing dynamic that is usually stiff -not my fault-. Sorry to say that FSX or P3D dynamics still feel more "natural". It must be the combination of those camera views and half baked flight dynamics, as viewed from the outside. Let's hope MS get those right eventually. And nope, I am not getting rid of my FSX and P3D, thank you.
  5. It would seem no pilots were involved in the design of MSFS2020 by the looks and management of the camera system. Really, if you want to enjoy the graphics and nice views you have to "pilot" the cameras as well as the airplane. Why did MS leave behind a simple POV hat camera system as in FSX? It is anybody's guess. But really, being a pilot, I was taught to focus on flying the plane, hands on the controls, not reading menus in those important flight moments and trying to make sense of instructions on tiny windows. By the way, has anybody noticed how MS avoids giving needed definitions on menu topics by simply repeating the same menu labels were there should be an explanation?
