  1. I use three monitors for my FSX-SE set-up. All three display VC view with the two outside monitors panned left and right respectively. This gives me 180 degrees of VC view with little distortion. The problem is I can’t get anti-aliasing to work on those two undocked windows on the extra monitors. I was hoping to have my graphics card do the anti-aliasing but I can’t get my Radeon RX 580 to do the anti-aliasing even with the latest drivers. I’ve already posted a thread about the Radeon card problem. In this thread I’d like to see if there’s any way to get native FSX-SE anti-aliasing to work on undocked windows that are moved over to extra monitors.
  2. Yes, I cleared the shaders folder. It didn't solve the problem.
  3. I updated to the latest drivers. Did not solve the problem.
  4. Thanks. I posted on that thread. My problem may have to do with using DirectX 10. Most of the Radeon anti-aliasing settings say "Only affects DirectX 9 applications."
  5. I'm using a Radeon RX-580 and cannot get the Radeon anti-aliasing settings to work with FSX SE. When I click on the ? next to the various anti-alias Radeon settings, most of them say "Only affects DirectX 9 applications". I believe FSX SE uses DirectX 10. Do you think that's the reason my Radeon anti-aliasing settings aren't working?
  6. I have a Radeon graphics card and would like it to do my antialiasing instead of FSX's antialiasing option. I unchecked Antialiasing in FSX SE and selected "Override application settings" in the Radeon control panel's Antialiasing section but it's not working. Does anyone have any experience getting a Radeon card to do the antialiasing for FSX?
  7. I know the shortcut for the Top Down view is Shift + ]. Is there a way to set the default size and position of that window when it opens?
  8. It worked! The back space is the "default zoom" keystroke. I went into Cameras.cfg and changed the camera 2 parameter "InitialZoom = 0.7" to 0.4 which is my normal zoom level. I used FSUIPC to program a button with the ATC window keystroke (`) and set the release keystroke to "backspace". So with one click of a button I can close the ATC window and transfer focus to the VC zoom level 0.4 even if the VC zoom is already set to 0.4.
  9. Larry, thanks for that explanation. Makes sense. I'm going to post something on the FSUIPC forum to see if that add-on could help; if not, I'll just leave the ATC window open. I just got a Honeycomb yoke. I'm very impressed with the high quality of workmanship and overall feel when flying. It also has two options for mounting on tables/desks and when it's locked down, it doesn't budge. It also has a full 180 degrees with no dead zone.
  10. Yes, I understand focus. My question is... why do I have to click & retain focus on the VC to use the - & = keystrokes but none of the other keystrokes? I can close the ATC window and successfully use any of the other keystrokes without clicking on the VC screen to retain focus.
  11. I noticed that when I close the ATC window using keystroke `, all other keystrokes for the VC work except view zoom (- & =). I have to click anywhere on the VC screen to get those keystrokes working again. I like to zoom in & out to check gauges and switches. I also like to close the ATC window to minimize clutter. Does anyone know how to fix/work around this issue?
  12. That would be human trafficking and we'd both end up in prison.
  13. Should I post this question in the Aircraft Design section?
  14. I would like to replace the female pilot in the stock Mooney Bravo with a male pilot. I used DXTBmp to open mooney_bravo__t.dds and see the image of a male but can't find the image of the female wearing sunglasses in that .dds file or any of the other .dds files in any of the Mooney Bravo texture directories. Is it possible the Mooney Bravo is using a pilot from one of the other stock aircraft? At any rate, I'd to know how to make the change.
