  1. Rog....N1 dead equal. No wind, level flight, legal parameters etc. I'm going to uninstall/reinstall the Carenado Citation. My sense is, some bogus values are floating around since I uninstalled/reinstalled FSUIPC and played with the PFC throttle settings. So I'm going with a hammer/nail option. Not spending a lot of brain bytes on this issue since I'm migrating to XP11 shortly (new computer etc). I'm sure I'll have plenty issues setting XP11 up with multiple controllers/panels. Thanks!
  2. Flying Carenado Citation 550 in FSX. Using FSUIPC to calibrate all the controllers/switches (nothing enabled in FSX). All worked well till I had to uninstall/reinstall FSUIPC in order to calibrate PFC throttles. Using Saitek Combat Rudder pedals with no issues. Aircraft when trimmed out/wings level will literally turn on its own to the left at about 2 degrees/sec. With autopilot on aircraft is in a constant 5 degree bank to the right in order to hold heading. I've calibrated and re-calibrated the rudder pedals and all looks normal. It feels like the aircraft is flying bent. All the payload and fuel are well within CG tolerances. I've flown fighters and other jets in the real world and we hardly touch the rudders, except for ground steering with nose wheel enabled or to align the gun on a gun run. I believe years ago, I had this very same issue and I can't remember what the fix was. Rudder trim will realign the nose to heading momentarily then the nose will continue to track to left. I've fiddled with yaw damper on/off with no effect. On the external view, the rudder appears aligned with the vertical stab. Not sure if related, but I can no longer use my strobe/beacon/landing lite switches on my Saitek multi-switch panel. The other switches work fine, and also the Saitek autopilot and radio panels work fine. Any ideas/fixes? Thanks Mudhendriver (Win 7 64 bit/FSX MS)
  3. Awaiting the arrival of a new computer/monitor. I've invested massive amounts of time and money to the FSX enterprise but will now jump into the XP11 experience. A few big picture questions first: 1. Does Windows 10 64-bit need to be tweaked for XP 11 like Windows 7 for FSX? (I'm recalling NickN's guide for FSX optimization with Windows OS) 2. I will have 1 TB SSD and a 4 TB SATA III mechanical hard-drive, which drive should XP 11 be installed? Can it be on the same drive as Windows 10? Does it need to be installed to a root C:// or D://, or a separate folder? 3. Do most guys run with an anti-virus or is it switched off? 4. Should I allow Win 10 to be updated automatically? 5. I've got quite a few controllers from FSX (Saitek radio/autopilot panels), PFC throttle quadrant/throttles, CH yoke and rudder pedals, Track IR...will XP 11 auto identify these and should they be calibrated within XP11 or is it recommended to use FSUIPC or XUIPC I guess? 6. Finally, the absolute must does when first installing XP11 on a new computer (Win 10) New computer specs: i7-9700k oc'd 4.7Ghz, 1 TB SSD +4 TB SATA III HD, RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 video card, 16GB DDR4/3000Mhz RAM Thanks in advance Mudhendriver
  4. Tim Thanks. I'll give it a shot. Problem is, FSX doesn't "see" PFC throttle console. It will show in the drop down along with other controllers when in FSX settings menu, but won't allow me to assign axes etc even with FSX controllers enabled (I assign everything via FSUIPC). I have another PFC throttle console which I will swap with the current one to see if it might be an internal hardware issue with the PFC console itself.
  5. Had no problems with PFC throttle quadrant and twin-turbo throttles until recently when I couldn't adjust one throttle to its lower limit in FSUIPC. I then reinstalled FSUIPC (4.971) and nothing worked on the PFC throttle quadrant (throttle axes, landing gear handle, flap switch). Windows 7 64-bit recognizes the PFC throttle quadrant, but FSX does not. All other peripherals like CH yoke, rudder pedals, Saitek radio panels work fine with FSUIPC and FSX, but it's like the PFC throttles are not even there. I've plugged/unplugged the PFC USB into other ports, tried a different USB cable etc. I also installed a new "basket/spring" circuit board ($198.00) from PFC into the throttle quadrant (apparently these can go bad after several years of use), but have had no luck in making FSUIPC or FSX recognize the quadrant. The PFC tech rep said, PFCfsx.dll is not required to install for the USB version of the throttle quadrant. I installed it as per Pete Dowson's instructions in FSUIPC modules in FSX but had no luck there either. So, at this point, I have no clue what is going on. I've uninstalled/reinstalled FSUIPC as well with no luck. Everything is recognized except PFC throttle quadrant and throttles. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Mudhendriver
  6. I've been able to successfully program saitek radio/switch panels with SPAD on several Carenado aircraft but I can't get the master battery switch to work. All the other switches work fine--i.e., when I flip a switch or hit a button on the saitek panels, the corresponding switch/button moves in the simulated aircraft. When I open SPAD, the battery switch works with the actual saitek panel switch but it won't move on the simulated aircraft. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. RP (FSX-MS, Win 7 64)
