  1. My young friend, Flight Sims are never finished, there is always something else to add or repair. If they waited until everything was perfect you would be older than me (84) by the time it was released. I suggest that you scrounge up a copy of FS98, fly it, and compare it to FS2020 to give you a baseline for comparison. The other thing you could do is offer to give Asorbo a hand by doing your own corrections and if you feel that they are worthwhile post them for the community to use. Gypsy
  2. Microsoft did not use "in-house" developers for flight sims, they used the Aces Team.
  3. FXS died with the sale of the code to Lockheed and Steam. P3D went to 64 bit which eliminated the BSOD. (Blue Screen Of Death) FSX is not corporate supported but has a huge stable of aircraft to fly.
  4. MSFS2020 is a toddler, and given time will run like an Olympian. I have been simming since I retired at age 62 and had enough free time to devote to the sim and fly. My daughter gave me FS95 for Christmas in 1996 and to my dismay, I could not use it because I discovered that it wasn't a game but a sim that worked in real-time. So I put it on the shelf to use later. Working to support my family just didn't allow me enough time to fly circuits, much less to make a decent cross country flight. In 1997 I purchased FS98 and got hooked, and have owned every version since then. I and many other Old Timers can tell you that we have heard all of this before with each release of every new sim. Stop Trolling and be thankful that we now have a great new sim that contains features we used to dream about and give the developers time to finish the program. Come back in 5 years and re-read your complaints to see if they still apply. Developers always welcome Bug Reports and suggestions but not complaints about things not working the way that YOU think they should. Coding a computer can be a nightmare, coding for thousands of different computers can be hell. Dale (Gypsy Pilot) Evans If you treat everyone the way you want to be treated You will be well treated
  5. Well Said! I am 83 and have been using computers since 1980. They have no idea how wonderful this program is. Gypsy
  6. Putting everything on a SSD will cut the boot time by around a third. Once it is loaded for the first time that day, all subsequent loads are much faster. I fly only in NA, Alaska and Canada and my game files are over 160GB so long load times are to be expected.
  7. Does anyone know if there is a West Coast, US file for ships or Auto Ferries? I fly the Pacific NW and moving ships really add to the experience.
