  1. Oh Boy Mike!! I am very familiar with P-39. Used to fly two of them in 1/4 scale R/C. You have done a fantastic job. Just two small things on my end. The nose wheel strut scissor does not scissor. Nose wheel buries. I am not completely sure when on autopilot how to capture heading. dcmair
  2. And How these guys figure to stop an airplane with brakes=0.63 is at the other end of the runway. Change toe brakes to 1.20. ANd a 737 to at least 1.60.
  3. dcmair: [flight_tuning] cruise_lift_scalar = 1.200 parasite_drag_scalar = 1.200 induced_drag_scalar = 1.575 elevator_effectiveness = 1.0 aileron_effectiveness = 1.0 rudder_effectiveness = 1.0 pitch_stability = 3.0 roll_stability = 2.0 yaw_stability = 2.0 elevator_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 aileron_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 This is a great aircraft, but this is what I did to settle it down so that it flys like a real aircraft. At least for me it was way to jittery. When these master aircraft contributors post an airplane like a 737-700, I land the airplane on a 8000' runway, 140 mph and I run off the runway trying to brake it. So I go to aircraft cfg, and it says Toe Brake=0.60. How is "H" are you going to stop a Monster doing 140MPH with 0.60 of brake power. On this airplane I set the brakeing power to 1.60, which takes care of some of the prop bite while taxiing. But I pull the prop knob down to "0" and it still wants to get out of hand. I'll figure it out. Hope someone comes up with a couple of more textures. Sort of wish FSD would upgrade their 400 from 2004 toFSX, but they have no plans I guess at this time.
  4. [flight_tuning] cruise_lift_scalar = 1.200 parasite_drag_scalar = 1.200 induced_drag_scalar = 1.575 elevator_effectiveness = 1.0 aileron_effectiveness = 1.0 rudder_effectiveness = 1.0 pitch_stability = 3.0 roll_stability = 2.0 yaw_stability = 2.0 elevator_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 aileron_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 rudder_trim_effectiveness = 1.0 I love this airplane. Thanx for the above hint. This what I did to my flight tuning to make this airplane settle down and fly right. I also backed off a little on my yoke effectiveness. Also I will never figure out these people that come up with say a 737-700, and you look at the config file, and you see toe brakes 0.60. How in _____ are you going to stop a monster going140 MPH with only 0.60 percent of brake shoes. On the Cheyenne I have 1.60. and that helps slow down the forward thrust on the ground. I have my prop pitch handle all the way back when taxiing, and it is still too fast. I'll figure it out. I hope someone comes up with a couple more paint jobs.
  5. No radio stack in the panel cfg file. I added mine from the 737-800.
  6. something awry in the aircraft cfg file. Installed into Base, but will not show up. Midway installed in base file does show up.
  7. For any reason this will now show up, as Aspen or Pitcairn,Sardy. Shows up as C003, and there is nothing there. Files are in Addon Scenery/Scenery. The only one I can get to show up is Aerosoft, Aspen. And even that ain't that great.
  8. budreiser: Ever since I was a kid (1930), I built models. Remember Guillows. Up until 1998 I built and flew 1/4 scale R/C Warbirds. They had 5 HP gas engines, and weighed out at about 35 lbs. Never did have the money and time to get a Pilots License, although I have right yoked a Cessna 182 RG for about a half hour.I never new that cancer could take away an eye. And 20/20 vison to boot. Anyhow as you know millions of people have two eyes. So you and me are two in how many million? My Buddy (Pilot) that let me fly his 182 RG has a daughter that went up through the ranks of UPS, and probably now is retired. My friend Lloyd was an excellent Pilot, and built himself a Glassair out of the crate to flyable, which unfortunately was to become his coffin...Sorry if this is too morbid, but those are things you have to deal with in life. Got pissed at my old computer, and FSX with the crappy frames rates that I don't have in FS9, (ballsout), went and got myself a gamer.. Haven't had a chance to set it up yet, but this one will chew up FSX and spit it out. Been doing a lot of flying in the Caribean and Mexico. TDS stuff and L-10ll's. also like the Captain Sim Freighters...I wonder if X-Plane will finally take the place of Microsoft....
  9. Nels: Looking forward to the new "Flight" Yes I can see it coming that we are going to loose some of the "goodies" from 2004. Even some old stuff won't even work in 2004. I have stuck with 2004 as it has been the most stabile and easy to work with Sim So far, and most addon developer friendly so far. Just think if they would have upgraded 2004 with all the stuff available what a sim it would be, even more than it is now. And they said, the water is crappy, no moving cars, can't have cars going under bridges, scenery needs help. Thats just a tip of the icberg what 2004 offered with all the developers & still does, as opposed to FSX and the new Offering.. It was backward t0 FS98, and it still is forward to 2011 addons. Well time marches on. I hope to be a beta tester..
