  1. When I got this, I did a refund just about the same day. After I realized being a web developer there are going to be issues and just with anything else new there are work arounds. This time I was in ground school learning how to talk to MSFS 2020 and assign the controls to the 3 planes I like to fly. I like how they create a new profile when the default is changed for a control. So, I name them based on the aircraft I am working with. I do wish the like SPADNext does that the profile is automatically switched when that aircraft is loaded. Right now, I must change the control to the right aircraft. I am looking to see where these profile names are stored because I do want to delete some. After a couple of weeks, I have pretty much everything is working with the Saitek controls using SPAD Next However some of the sim connect actions do not seem to work, park brake for one. Saitek has a MSFS section, but it is limited on what is there, parking brake is not there for example. Any of the MSFS actions in SPADNext do work well with the Saitek controls. I use FIP Gauges and they update every time SPADNext update. So, the Saitek instrument panels are good. I use the Saitek auto pilot and it is not set up the way it is supposed to work. That Is because they put in more stuff on these. In the old sims if I set hold Alt the plane would pitch up to the height I set, which it should not do. In the MSFS world I found out the AP is working as it should and the VS needs to be engaged and then the adjustment say +500 feet can be set. One reason I may get a different AP device. But it works and works well. I can set the HDG, ALT or NAV when a flight plan is there. I have seen some issues In the APR when on an ILS. I notice that with the DA 40, when AP is engaged, the heading and altitude are locked in when one is set. The G1000 does not work that way but Carendo DA 40 did that as well. Maybe that is how the plane works, I am not sure. So, I have P3D v5 in backup mode now. Everything is solid so far so plane to stick with FS 2020. This I would like to see fixed 1. FMS In the King Air 2. A way save startups (like P3D) so they can be loaded (no flight plan) Just sitting there. 3. A way to change airports after everything loaded. (by setting developer on aircrafts can be switched) 4. The settings for traffic fixed. Even at 100 (I assume percent) there are very few cars in Southern California. So that slide bar pretty much is a off or on switch. 5. We all have TB hard drives, right. 10TB drives are cheap. I have fast internet but even cable as a 1.4TB limit. Be nice if we could just save the scenery, it takes a while from start to ready to fly. I have not tried the real weather, I want to stay clear skies until I have this more solid Have a nice day
  2. They did nice job o the first update so looking forward to it. They do need some fixes in the G1000 so sounds like that is coming. I wish also that the FMS in the King Air will start working, it says not op.
  3. Does anyone know if the flight illusion hardware will work with MSFS 2020 I am thinking yes because they work through SpadNext or FSUIPC but I don't have any, I want to start replacing my SaiTeck hardware
  4. Is the EGT gauge working with others. I am leaning the mixture but the gauge is not moving
  5. Ok I take it all back. The DA62 AP is working well, maybe refresher on the G1000 helped. I put in a flight plan from KBUR to KSNA. I did have to key in KBUR so I hope they fix that but the next way point did start with a K as it should. So the HDG ALT and NAV are all working. I even put in a Approach to 20R with a transition Everything worked but it did not auto switch to APR mode. I don't think this aircraft has a VNAV setting but I don't know Thanks Kipitan
  6. I do not recall seeing a history option when a airport is selected, is that new?
  7. Everything else on the DA 62 is working find. I am going through the training G1000 video again on the heading. (Sportys) I did get the DA62 working when I set the Alt and then the heading. When I set the heading first I put in the course, and then activate the HDG, It's not going there. So I will keep working with it. I am not sure everything does what it should do, for example when I put in a flight plan, the airport I am located should be the first listed. Also when I turn small knob a K is what it should default too. I don't see that happening although that is minor. I also wonder how to add the NAVData (I have a subscription) Time will fix all this I agree that the aircrafts in 2020 are really good. I do not have any issues flying them. The King Air 350 is working perfectly as expected and that is my main aircraft. Got PilotEdge working so I am ready to just keep with FS 2020
  8. Ok Thank you. I think I did see rol now that think of it although I am not sure how that happen. I need to check my assignment of the keys. update I did get it working but I need to review the training on the G1000. I have been using the G750 because I like the touch screen. When I turn on the AP, it defaulted to ROL which maybe it did, I cannot remember. The B350i I used from Carendo did not default the airport I was in, that manually had to be entered. The Flight1Tech one did a lot of the real one which is one reason I used it. It also ran on a second PC which helped performance (using P3D) Thanks
  9. I appear to be doing something wrong even though I know how to use the G1000. The plane flies very well without AP once everything is trimmed. So this I am doing 1. Turn on AP (which does nothing as it should) 2. I set the Alt and turn it on, which again does nothing as it should 3. Set VS and turn it on. DA62 is getting higher 4. Set my heading not far from where the plane is pointing now. 5. Turn on AP heading hold It should bank to the heading I set. It banks to the right hard and I need to override that on the yoke while turning off the AP. Once AP is disengaged and everything off, I get the aircraft steady again. Then I just turn on AP with everything off and the plane does a hard right almost upside down. I will go though my G1000 training again in case I am missing something. I have use the Flight1Tech G1000 for quiet a while so maybe that will help when they update it for FS 2020 Thnaks
  10. I have the Alpha Yoke and everything went Ok. I am not sure how one calibrates in FS 2020, I have SpadNext but FS 2020 is what I use to was assigned. However going to try SPADNext because it has a profile for each plane how I assign the controls. The new FS 2020 is doing that somewhat by having us rename the control from default
  11. That is pretty much what I did, but I also assigned some buttons to view the Garmin screens since we cannot move them to another screen. The B350i MDF display as a example
  12. I found a thread that the person had the Alpha Yoke knob on start, Usually that does not stay on, but I don't use it and FS 2020 assigned it. The screens go off and the plane went dead. When I set it off start or removed the assignment, problem gone. Just flew over Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake and it was awesome. It appears that a lot of the sim connect actions with SPADNext work OK when I assign actions to a button or axis. S
  13. Well that is a great video and it will really help others a lot. I know the system very well. He picked the one aircraft I do not have problems with. it works great. I will go back to the DA 62 because that is the one that acted up. I know the G750 1000 very well, so I will try again. thanks
  14. I found that the developer mode on gives a menu in which a aircraft can be switched after loading one (otherwise I had to start all over) The Planes fly pretty good as long as Auto Pilot is turned off. It seems that alt hold is ok (sometimes), but if heading hold is turned on the plane banks hard left and there is no going back until AP is off. The Garmin displays have been going off on me and sometimes do not go back on, in fact it is like the plane is shutdown but still flies. This is a big issue with me. I found the aircraft.cfg files, I suspect that is the problem, I was developing scenery in the early 90s but never a plane, so I know they can be screwed up easily I hope that the airplane companies come up with add on planes, the TBM 930 does very well so I may still with that aircraft. Does anyone know how to set the push to talk key in 2020. I did in FSUICP but that is in beta. SPADNEXT does not do repeat while pressing key very well. Its what I need set for PilotEdge. At this point I give MSFS maybe a C, I do wish they had waited another month or so. But it takes time, P3D v4 is rock solid but v5 still has issues. So I suspect MS will send out more updates as they did the first one. Time will tell
