  1. I've been using Microsoft Flight Simulator since the latter stages of Alpha, throughout the Beta and was one of the privileged few to be allowed to show the simulator off on the run-up to release. Let me start by saying that MSFS is not perfect. It has its bugs, it has its quirks, it's not perfect. But then again, what simulator is? Everything has its strong points, everything has a weakness. Visually, MSFS is lightyears ahead of anything and everything the market has on offer right now. Five years ago we were in awe at how Laminar Research streamed OpenStreetMap data into the simulator to create a world that followed correct roadways and city layouts. We didn't think it could get much better, as anything more was far from reach. Half a decade on, we now have satellite imagery bring streamed directly into the simulator, producing a world that looks just like the real thing. Default aircraft are also rather good to fly. Not perfect, but when you look back at their previous release of FSX (we don't talk about Flight), systems-wise we have a lot to play around with. Asobo has done a fine job on what towards the latter stages have been a rather restricted timeframe. To get the simulator out and in the state with only one or two teething issues, is phenomenal. You can refund the sim and return to FSX if you want, but all I will say is one thing. The next time you fly over good 'ol Tylldalen in Tynset, Norway; take a look outside the aircraft and tell me what you can see, presuming your VAS hasn't tipped over the edge and crashed out before you get there. ;')
  2. Hey guys, it's that time of the year where I start collecting questions for developers at the UK Flight Sim Show! The last two years I asked around different flight simulator communities for questions that you want the developers to answer and conducted interviews around them. So far we've done everything from unannounced ORBX Sceneries to FSLabs sneak previews. Feel free to tag questions to me here or preferably DM them to me so that I can keep track easier, I want to ask as much from you guys as possible. Developers I will be speaking to for the following sims are: X-Plane - Laminar Research - Magknight (Interview with my brother, yay! ;)) FSX/P3D - TFDi Design - FlightSim Labs Mixed Sim - Just Flight - ORBX - Aerosoft (If they have a developer, last year they only had a publisher) - REMEX Software/Deadstick Bush Flight Simulator - Infinite Flight - Honeycomb Aeronautical - VATSIM - IVAO Any questions you have will be greatly appreciated and very likely featured, for those that would like to catch up with last year's interview, you can find this here.
  3. I installed it not too long ago when it was 20% off at the Pilot Shop. BEST add-on on I've used in a little while, especially when combined with FSPassengers! Sent from my ONE E1003 using Tapatalk
  4. Microsoft Flight released to the world on February 29th 2012. Unfortunately though, it wasn't too well received by the flight simming community and within a year, Microsoft stopped developing for the game in July 2012 before cancelling all support and shutting down Flight's multiplayer servers on October 14 2014. One major factor to why I believe it failed was down to the fact that being the only major release of a flight simulator in six years after FSX, it gained too much hype for what it actually was, among many other reasons I do explore. In this video, I look deep into the simulator itself and answer the question to whether or not this simulator really was as bad as it initially was. 5. Looks like Mr Summons has some explaining to do! It's most likely not the case, but I would say it could be Gary playing games with us? This bug was reported a while ago, he could have just added a mesh to it. [emoji14] http://www.uk2000scenery.org/forum/index.php?topic=7471.0
  6. Night Environment - British Isles is definitely a must-have for night flying! I made a video showcasing it if you want to check it out. I personally use FSEarthTiles to make my own VFR Scenery. It's free and does an amazing job at that. Shep's Shed then also has some free Autogen you can put on top of it to make the UK look as realistic as possible. UK2000 airports definitely, World of AI does me fine and look for a good ENB Series, that just makes everything look better. 🙂 ---------------------------------------------------------- Check out my YouTube Channel for more Simulator and Gaming content! https://www.youtube.com/c/drawyahgames?sub_confirmation=1
  7. Add-ons! Since May this year, I've been looking into freeware and payware add-ons to try get my FSX looking as realistic as I can physically get it to! The UK also gets a little bit more spent on it as I live here... 😊 As a whole, flying in an FSX that almost looks true-to-life is definitely keeping me playing! That and my little partnership with flightsim.com to which I absolutely love making reviews for! 😄 ---------------------------------------------------------- Check out my YouTube Channel for more Simulator and Gaming content! https://www.youtube.com/c/drawyahgames?sub_confirmation=1
