  1. These are awesome! They work great for me in FSX:SE. If you see red door tracks on some of the hangars, just make the object altitude -0.2 feet. They will disappear without any other issues.
  2. ORBX regions will fix autogen in weird places and randomly stopping and starting rivers. It's hard to fly anywhere else once you have flown in one for a while. :)
  3. If you want autogen, you will want ORBX. If you want to fly over your house, you will want VFR photo scenery like Megescenery or the other photo scenery you showed (which, by the way, is for FS2004). I recommend ORBX regions, as it really fixes up the whole FSX world. ORBX adds objects to local airports, adds landmarks like Rupert showed, fixes shorelines and re does landclass. The screenshots on their webite area a little out of proportion in quality, but even on my super low end computer it looks great
  4. Here's an idea. Get these three sceneries. https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/9068/fsx-scenery-and-landclass-for-molokai/ https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/8821/fsx-scenery-and-landclass-for-maui/ https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/8455/fsx-landclass-scenery-for-lanai-and-kahoolawe/ Grab the 'ol 172 (Or whatever GA plane you like), throw out the GPS and navigate between the islands by ded reckoning and memory. Those three sceneries cover this area, so its not a huge area to get lost in. It's quite a departure for not being able to fly without the autoplilot.
  5. I bought an ORBX region (PFJ). I have spent lots of time flying around there. The guys at RTMM make it a little more interesting, but I haven't run out of things to do, and won't for a long time. My favorite part about ORBX regions is that I can take off from any random airport and land at a nearby airport, with both airports having believable objects placed around them, and are fairly close to real life. You can also use the Freeware Scenery Map. Find an are in FSX that you think had believable land class and then pick two airports from the map. Look at the ICAO's and enter them into Online Flight Planner. Once you enter the airport codes, the distance (in nautical miles) will appear in the upper right corner. You can guess about how long the flight is going to be from the distance between the two airports.
