  1. This is an unfortunate truth of racism - it always causes more racism until you have a vicious circle. The vast majority of MSFS users will be white men, for certain, but even if they weren't - and for argument's sake we'll say all sim flyers are equally represented by all groups - deliberately erasing all white avatars out of the flight sim is still a racist thing to do. The people working at Microsoft know what they're doing. They didn't accidentally forget to include any white male avatars. They sat around and said "We should exclude white male avatars from this simulator as part of the hard left agenda to exclude that group from society, just as they do in the movies and commercials." That is why the debate went from I'd like a white avatar to talk of racism - because the decision to cut white avatars was a racist one and it invited the response it was looking for. In my view, politics should play NO PART in entertainment.
  2. Hey All I'm still on FSX with an old laptop, but need to replace the laptop so I'm waiting for that before buying MSFS 2020. It has to be a laptop for work purposes so I'm trying to get some info on what's the best to power the MSFS 2020? Good framerates and playable without cranking down graphics to the bottom. Not interested in any online multiplayer stuff which I hear drags on power. Any advice would be great! Thanks :)
  3. Hey All I've been running FSX on my laptop since it came out, and have recently decided to upgrade to VR, but I need some help to get started as there seem to be so many options. I think I need: Oculus Rift headset X-Plane simulator But I'm confused about whether X-Plane is better for VR than FSX, and also about whether I need something called Fly Inside. If anyone who has converted to 3D VR immersion has any experience, I would be very grateful about what sort of rig you set up - also, is it worth buying a yoke and throttles etc? Finally - system requirements - I have a HP Pavilion laptop, which for all its many faults, runs FSX pretty well. Here are the specs: Processor: Intel Core i7 8th Gen CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99GHz Installed RAM: 16.0 GB 64 Bit Display Adapters: Intel UHD Graphics 620 NVIDIA GeForce 940MX Thanks! :)
