This is a collection of 57 FAA Listed Heliports in the Greater Chicago, IL USA Metropolitan area. All of the heliports have been added to the package as "airports" which makes them searchable on the map and able to be started from, and/or added to, flight plans. A number of these helipads are on building rooftops and are "landable", but due to quirks in MSFS, areas that use photogrammetry (which is the bulk of the areas in this scenery) have little issues here and there and the renditions are somewhat quirky. You definately need to have photogrammetry ENABLED in your setup to get the full benefit of this scenery. Lights and windsocks have been added where information and aerial photos indicate their presence. Some of the heliports use scenery objects from the HELIPADS PACK by GBZH35 (available on flightsim.to) and for the windsocks and flags, you will need to have WINDY THINGS by trfsto (also available on flightsim.to) You do not need the helipads pack "package" installled as the objects are coded into the scenery, but you WILL need the windy things package installed to see the windsocks. There is a pdf listing of all of the heliports included in the zip archive as well as an installation instruction text file. Several other Midwestern United States scenery files can be found on my web site http://www.flymidwest.org This file updated as needed and available there.
  2. This is an interesting problem. There is a small "exclude" file in the package to erase the default scenery underneath the add on, but it only covers a small area underneath the stadium and commons park. Deleting the package should make the default scenery re-appear including the under construction stadium. I have not seen any other threads describing that problem. I will write the guy that posts all the instuctional videos I follow and see if he has any observations. Let me know if the problem corrects itself with one of the numerous "updates" MSFS is releasing weekly. I am on the latest USA UPDATE version and everything appears normal for me including some other areas I have done like Duluth, Valleyfair, and Canterbury park... all of which are using "excludes" like USB stadium
  3. Duluth Lift bridge and the DECC area nearby is almost done. I will be posting the file on my web site http://www.flyinminnesota.com.
  4. A "usable" version of my US Bank Stadium is now available in the file library. I have also started a web site to host some other missing Minnesota scenery I am working on. http://www.flyinminnesota.com. Only 1 file so far available... the SDK is constantly changing, so a bit tough to get consistent results.
  5. This is a good suggestion. I did change into the MODERN Model and my joystick and yoke setups work as before the "update" it was indeed totally impossible to take off in the 172 in the "legacy" flight model. Thanks for the tip!
  6. as a follow up... i did manage to get a us bank stadium model into my sim setup using the sdk and other available utilities. drop me a reply if you would like me to share... its not the best but better than a hole in the ground.
  7. anyone done any of the missing landmarks in Minnesota yet? US Bank Stadium is still a hole in the ground
