  1. Hi I have used the download installer for this mod, but it does not appear in my content anywhere, I only have the standard A320 NEO in there ? The installer reports success, but it just ain't there, and I would really love to try this as the stock aircraft is pretty flaky overall. anyone have any ideas how I fix this ?
  2. I have been using FS2020 for around 2 months, but I have never had the 787 in my Content for some weird reason. I have also had various other issues with it, and M$$$ Support finally told me the ONLY fix was to reinstall W10 Pro using the RESET option in the operating system. Horrified at loosing a 3 year old, pretty complex W10 setup, I nevertheless went ahead and did the deed. I then reinstalled FS2020 (Steam Version) using a separate drive/Folder for the "Recommended Content) and Community folder. Guess what - still no 787. I do have the celebration livery installed, but no aircraft to use it with. Perhaps tied in with this problem, I purchased the Carenado C182 Turbo, and that was installed correctly on my previous system, but in the new one, it sits in my Community folder, but appears in my Content as NOT I NSTALLED, but with no option to get it installed. Can anyone help me to sort these 2 issues out ? They really are driving me mad now. Two other aircraft I purchased for the new system have installed correctly in the new system from the same Community folder, so that seems to be fine. Any help at all would be gratefully received.
  3. Sadly the answer is no. I do have an X52 stick somewhere, but have recently moved, and cannot find it right now, so am using the dreaded Xbox 360 controller, which is less than perfect, but usable. I also have the older Saitek AP panel, but it seems to be pretty intermittent as to when it will come alive, or not as the case may be. It di work in th eG1000 Cessna 172 for a time, but strangely fails to come alive in the 747 or 320. So far, flying the 320 is a nightmare, as the AP simply refuses to behave itself.
  4. Yes indeed, I did know that works - sortta, but in my case, even when using the scroll wheel to change the values, and even when I use the lesser known shortcut keys of CTRL + INS / DEL / HOME/ END/ PGUP/ PGDN keys to reset Hdg, VS and ALT respectively, they still suddenly go off on their own, increasing or decreasing or whatever until they reach the limit for the instrument. The AP is totally unusable currently, as I cannot set any of the variables correctly. This happens in the A320 as well as the C172's G1000, so appears to be a generic issue.?
  5. Thanks for that, but I do know How to use it, from real life flying, but right now in the sim it is a totally new challenge with un-setable altitude and heading knobs as described in my original message......:-))
  6. Thanks, glad to hear at least someone else has seen this. My problem is not "slipping off " the control, they just carry on by themselves......
  7. I am sitting in the airbus 320, watching both the set altitude and set heading knobs merrily wind THEMSELVES up and down despite my mouse cursor being out of the FS window altogether. it is on another screen in a web browser. Even when the altitude, as it is now, has reached 99900, the knob is still spinning upwards !!!!! My heading knob is doing the same, but just winding from North, thru South, and back thru North again - endlessly. Even if I hit Escape, go into control setup, and then return to the sim window, they are STILL going around by themselves. Does anyone else see this, or know what is going on. ? It is totally unflyable right now. I have tried almost everything I can think of to stop this crazy behaviour, setting other items to different settings etc, but they just carry on spinning. Even the airspeed control knob does it unless I push/pull it into managed or auto modes. but it does not actually set the speed............. It is just like the aircraft is haunted..... I am seeing similar problems as reported in my message re the Garmin 1000. My mouse works just fine everywhere else, the buttons are NOT sticky or anything, I am just going to take it off like this, with knobs still spinning, and see what it does. My Flight plan is a relatively short one, from EGNO, (my home airport) to EGNE (Gamston) via low Airways IFR, passing thru 3 waypoints en route so I can try changing them in flight. Whew, that was interesting to say the least, it took off, I engaged the AP and then fiddled with the alt and hdg knobs. That put me into the Irish Sea off Blackpool after both alt and hdg adjusters refused to stop and the auto pilot tried, unsuccessfully of course, to chase them. This makes any glass cockpit totally unflyable in any mode except manual, as then it behaves just fine. Is anyone else seeing anything like this? My system is Intel I7 - 4900K 8 threads, GTX 980 with 4GB RAM on board (I think), Motherboard has 16Gb brand new Ram, and W10 + FS2020 are installed on a fairly fast Samsung SSD 860 2Tb drive. Not a perfect gaming machine, but perfectly acceptable for flying a sim, or at least, it should be?
  8. Hi Everyone I have had FS2020 installed for around 2 weeks now, and have been experimenting with many different setup configs, as I suspect so most fliers. As background, I am in fact a qualified PPL with around 1500 hrs P1 time in my log, so not a novice flier, and used the original FS a great deal. I have been flying the C172 in both modes, "steam" gauges and Glass cockpit. The Garmin 1000 is however, giving me real problems compared to the real thing. When I hover/click on say the altitude set knob, up or down, it just shoots off by itself, going up or down for ever until it reaches +1 99,000 ft. Not much help really ? It seems to be a similar problem with several of the Up/Down value rotation knobs. Does anyone know of a fix for this, it is driving me nuts right now. Having the G1000 is great, but if you cannot set it to the values you want, it is not much help at all. It does do current altitude hold OK when you enable it, I just cannot set a target altitude so I can then use FLC or V/Speed options to get there. So ILS approaches for example are really difficult. Hope someone out there can help ? Thanks in advance.
