  1. Hello mslim I had already loaded the FTXG_FreewareLibs.BGL into ADE but checked again and the T hangar was not in that folder. BUT your note about "other ORBX hangars in this path: :\Orbx Scenery\p3dv4\Orbx Libraries\ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAA_ORBXLIBS\Scenery" sent me on a new search. I started checking each file in ModelConverterX and finally found the T hangar in a MISC file. Just proves that even though a file does not have the word "hangar" in it you should still check it out. Thank you again for staying with me on this search!! You helped me find a file that adds more detail to my airport but more importantly taught me some new things and for that I'm very grateful! Take care Ed
  2. Hello mslim Thank you for your help. I opened ADE Open Airport by BGL and went to the location of the airport file. See 1st pic I had identified the file with the desired hangars by moving it to an outside folder which made the hangars disappear. I moved the file back into the correct scenery folder and started P3D then ADE to make sure it loaded. The file is named FTX_FTXG_N30_objects.bgl. See 2nd pic With the airport open in ADE no buildings appear. See 3rd pic You mention looking for a .bgl that says library. I don't see any reference to library. Where should this be located? I opened the Library Object Manager and drilled down to FTX_FTXG_N30_objects.bgl but I get the message "No usable objects found in this file. What am I missing or doing wrong? Thank you again Ed
  3. Hello I'm hoping someone will have a file to share or be able to point me to a source for what I need. This airport is for my personal use only. I live 1 mile north of FA40 and use it for my home base in P3Dv4.5. I have a single open T hangar which works fine but I would like the same shape hangar with a closed door to mix up the view. The closed hangars I have found don't have the flat roof to match my open hangar. I have found a closed T hangar that matches my open T but it's in a ORBX object.bgl and I can't get it to show in ADE. Here are pics of what I have and need. Thank you Ed
  4. Hello everyone I'm still tweaking the small airfield (FA40) that I use for a home base and need your help. I'm looking for small P3D hangars with open doors that allow a plane to enter and exit. I don't need the door to be able to open and close but if it does that is fine. I currently have 1 larger hangar that will hold 2 planes. I would like to add a smaller one, a T-hangar if possible, with a style that will fit in with the small local airport that will hold just one plane. Does anyone have a file to share or can you point me to a site where I can find P3D compatible hangars? Thank Ed
  5. Hi Jim That was exactly what I needed! Thank you for making this change! Take care Ed
  6. Hi Jim Sorry to hear about your graphics card. Hope you get is fixed soon. Thank you for the updated file! I'm going to fire up my flight PC right now and replace the other files. Take care Ed
  7. Hi Jim I hope you and your family are doing great! The hangars have worked out fantastic. I keep tinkering with FA40 and am enjoying the learning experience. I am using your squared off T-hangar as that best matches the real ones. This is the file. storm_resistant_hngr_type2a.jpg If I could ask a favor? Could you change the color from a bare metal/rusting materiel to a light color painted version? Here is a pic of the real hangars. Thank you again for the great hangars! Take care Ed
  8. Hi Ben I agree that a longer stick shaft feels more like a real plane and I think my flying has improved too. I started with a Saitek AV8R for my Mustang pit, see the cockpit builders section, because the grip was really similar to a P-51. I used PVC pipe for the extension. A cover was then added. But, I did not like the lack of feedback and accuracy in the Saitek so I switched to a MSFFB. Hope this helps. Ed
  9. Hi Jim Thanks for the offer of scenery objects. I think I have all that I need for FA40 right now. I have the Orbxlibs but am not sure how to use them just yet but plan to take a long look today. I also have the Orbx freeware airports they are really great. Thanks for all of your help! Take care Ed
  10. Jim, the hangars you posted are working great! Retired and now living in Florida for 5 years, we are originally from Ohio, I'm visiting the MANY airports the Sunshine State has to offer. I have landed at Inverness many times as I wander the state and hope that you post it to the library for download. Now I'm looking for other objects to replace those from FSX that do not appear in P3D. I'm still getting familiar with ADE but being retired I have the time and I love to learn new things. Is there a good source for add on P3D compatible library objects? I'm finding that a lot of what I have for FSX don't show. Thank you again for your help! Take care Ed
  11. Hi Jim Thank you very much for the files and the instructions! I am quite new to ADE and that information makes the process much easier. Take care Ed
  12. Hi Jim Thank you for offering to help! I believe the hangars my friend used came from a file called GA Hangars but I can’t get them to show in the ADE list, in the project screen or in the sim. Here is a pic from my FSX install. And here is the real airport Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated! Take care Ed
  13. Hello everyone A few years ago I was still running FSX and a friend greatly enhanced my local airport, Hidden Lake FA40. I have moved on to P3Dv4.5 and a lot of the buildings from the FSX version do not appear in P3D which I suspected would happen. My friend does not have P3D and cannot update the airport so he sent me the build file. I have the registered version of ADE and planned at a minimum to update the hangar area but I cannot find T shaped hangars. Can someone offer a source for these hangars? Thanks Ed
  14. Hello everyone I have built a P-51 pit, shown here in the cockpit builders section, and have almost all of the sim controls linked to buttons. I'm using W10 and the latest P3Dv4. Where I'm struggling is when interacting with ATC. I can reply to the numbered items as I have buttons setup for 1-0 in FSUIPC. What I can't figure out is how to set a button for the "back', "previous", or "next" options. I have tried to trace the action for those options in FSUIPC, LINDA and SPAD.neXt with no luck. I also tried a mouse macro in FSUIPC but it did not recognize the selection like it does a switch or button. Can anyone offer a solution? Thanks Ed
