  1. Michael Pearson's base model MPAI_BN2AM3_TRISLANDER_TRAFFIC.ZIP where is it?
  2. Hi just a quick thought, are your controllers calibrated and set up correctly?
  3. I am frankly getting fed up with all the negativity about this ground breaking sim, I would prefer the fs2004/fsx/P34 crowd to stick to their own forums! Sure it has some problems, but the developers are doing their best to rectify it by issuing regular patches. I have all of the other iterations of the flightsim on my hard drive, and believe me I enjoy all of them. Admittedly MS2020 is going to take time to mature, but please be grateful to Asobo and Microsoft for finally bringing a brand new flightsim to us. Just think about all the photo scenery we had to purchase for P3D / FSX in order to enjoy some eye candy, at least in FS2020 I recognise Shobdon airfield ( Shobdon Aerodrome ICAO: EGBS is an airport 6.9 miles west of Leominster, UK) and the surrounding area like it is suppose to be. I can fly over my house in the Malvern hills enjoying great scenery VFR out of the box! Please lets have some positive comments about FS 2020 and what we are enjoying in this sim and report any bugs/problems on the Microsoft ZEN desk. Greets to Kapitan, Plainsman, Cobalt and all:D
  4. Greetings all Taxiing GA aircraft is relatively easy provided you have a set of rudder pedals connected! if you do not have one you should go and buy one! when taxiing on the ground in a GA aircraft, differential braking is used to turn the aircraft as the actual rudder has minimum effect on taxiing unless the airflow over the rudder surface is quite strong. I use Saitek rudder pedals and the toe area is the toe brakes, by pushing down slightly on each side while the aircraft is moving the aircraft will move in the desired direction. When taking off, your aircraft should be pointed reasonably straight down the runway before you apply full power. Once you apply full power, be ready to correct direction with your rudder pedals. Air passing over the control surfaces becomes active and also the aircraft will be subject to gyroscopic effect by the propellers. Apply slight opposite rudder to the direction the aircraft swing to keep straight on the runway and gently lift and climb to 500 feet keeping to the runway heading. Real pilots do not use auto rudder!;) regards
  5. Hi Alan, FSX had us scratch our heads when it first came out and everybody was saying how good FS2004 was! the same thing is happening again. We just need to let the product mature a little bit. Sure the Autopilot is a bit ropey, and some of the buttons do not work, doors do not open, controls can be way too sensitive at times, Ai tries to kill me occasionally, the C172 with full flaps suppose to stall at 40 kias but it can stall at 50kias! but even with all it's current faults it is still a very enjoyable sim. Please stay with fs2020 it will get better over time like good scotch whisky! Greetings to plainsman, natman regards
  6. There seem to be some issues with Saitek Flight Pro yoke and pedals with calibration going out of sync. This happens to me sometimes as well. regards
  7. Greetings everyone from UK I am enjoying flying MS 2020 quite a lot, usually VFR flying around Bangladesh despite many bugs. Bugs I found so far: 1. Copilot some time tries to kill me 2.Despite not wanting a push back, the push back guy sometimes just will not give up, he even followed me to the Runway threshold! 3.The Saitek Yoke suddenly loses it and the aircraft becomes impossible to control. 4.Autopilot needs looking at, it is just not fit for purpose 5.Terrible ATC, one bloke covering the whole world 6.GA aircraft doors do not open 7.No 2d panel. (In FSX at least you could switch between the two) 8.Even with the AI pilot switched off, he suddenly grabs the controls and spin the aircraft to the ground 9.Photo scenery in the UK just for Portsmouth and Southampton, yet Germany and some parts of Europe and most of USA and Japan comprehensibly covered why? we have some nice places here as well in the UK, you know ASOBO studio! Still even with all it's many bugs, this is a master class in flight simulation with the whole world at your disposal thanks to Asobo Studios. Hopefully in five years time we can look back on this as the fun times we all had, beta testing MS 2020.;)
  8. Hi plainsman agree with you, the program has a learning curve. But I suppose in Asobo's defence I have to mention, most of the time the culprit is Microsoft with their many strange updates for Windows 10, which breaks a perfectly working PC. There are literally millions of PC's in the world with all sorts of configurations of Windows 10. A developer can only develop so much until the beast is let out in to the wild! I also feel very strongly why for MS2020 they failed to implement animated stairs and passengers, Gates are all well and good but we need stairs for airports that do not have Gates and only Ramp parking, especially when you are directed to a ramp. Animated passengers would have increased the immersion and realism levels not to mention looking out of your cockpit looking at all the passengers leaving/boarding! Stairs are also useful for older aircraft that cannot use gates I am just wondering what all those beta testers and You tuber's were smoking at the time! Greeting to Kapitan and all, happy flying.;)
  9. I am not surprised you are finding it hard going, please put that approach charts away! instrument flying is hard whether in the simulation or real life. Try flying near your home VFR (visually) in fs2020 with one of the great GA aircraft. The Wright brothers managed without any instruments so you can, but whatever you do please don't give up!:D
  10. Before you consider buying a new PC you might like to take a look at bench marking done recently at Toms Hardware, https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/features/microsoft-flight-simulator-benchmarks-performance-system-requirements regards
  11. Good morning Perhaps it might be a good idea for you to visit https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us. Various issues have been reported recently and probably better to go directly to Microsoft first and then come back here for more mere mortal opinions!:D
  12. Please always try to leave a link to download the aircraft which you painted otherwise people will just ignore your repaint.
  13. I agree with you fully on this one, if our past experience is anything to go by! for a start they have still failed to address the issues with stairs, surely passengers do not just teleport in to the plane in the absence of gates! When no gates are available, the pilot should be able to call for stairs so passenger can disembark and embarking passengers should also be transported by airport buses to the stairs, is this too much to ask? there must be some passengers whether they board by gate or stairs. This should have been pointed out to Asobo studios from the outset by the Alpha and Beta testers. Finally there should be provisions built in to the software so users can create AI traffic road/air/boat and design local airports that may be missing from the original. Currently I believe this still to be public beta, hopefully at some point when this matures perhaps we can look at it again.
