  1. I've been having the same/similar problem for the last month or so. After flying I press 'Esc', the 'back to menu & Continue' buttons show appear. When I press to go back to menu it just sits there. This also happens when I press the quit button when trying to shut down the program. I have to stop the program with the task manager to return to the desktop. Now the flight simulator won't even start. It says 'Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game Disc' with 'Continue' or 'Quit' as my only options. Anyone else experienced this?
  2. Thanks. You've described the problem I've been having. It continually reoccurred. I finally renamed my community folder, created a new one, and transferred all the programs back into it a few at a time according to their original install date- hoping to find the cause, if any. I eventually got them all back into the new folder & the program now shuts down normally, without using task manager. Go figure????
  3. MSFS will not shut down when I select the shutdown bar. Anyone else have this problem?
  4. As oneleg said, just hit your escape key, then the spacebar. It will as you to either save or load. I've used this extensively on long flights or when I think I might crash. I have saved three files: Current World flight, Current US flight, & Current Helicopter flight. Works great. Saved my behind many times. Good luck & safe flying.
  5. You are correct. After calling both X-Box & Microsoft and getting no help I investigated further. I ended up having to go to the Registry editor, remove both Gaming Services entries, rebooting & relaunching MSFS2020. It then told me in a little green band at the top that I needed Gaming Services to run the game & gave me the option to install it. I did so & the sim has been working fine so far.
  6. I attempted to launch MSFS2020 like I always do using the blue-square icon. It took me to a screen with "Gaming Services" on it. I am unable to get past this screen. I've accessed my library. MSFS 2020 is listed, but will not launch...takes me back to this same frustrating screen. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a solution. I've put over 300 hours on this simulator & am loving it. HELP!!!!
  7. I have the HOTAS X-56 controls. I assigned the pushback command (keyboard shift-p) to one of the small buttons on the control stick. Also, if you don't mind having the engine started by the AI, I simply start most flights by having the AI control the aircraft. This automatically pushes the plane back to the appropriate taxi distance. Unfortunately, it also starts the engines. I disable the AI when the aircraft is in a position to taxi that I like. Not a 'hardcore' solution, but it works for me. I just wish they would reduce the taxi guides so I don't have to taxi through those big blue arrows.
  8. Thanks. I'll check that. Don't think I have it on but you never know.
  9. MSFS2020 no longer tracks & logs my flights. Seems since last update. Any suggestions?
  10. If I upgrade to a new computer, how do I transfer FS2020 to the new computer from the old one?
