  1. Thanks Lloyd for your ideas. I did try your latest suggestion but to no avail.
  2. I get the same result when I tried your suggestion. It seems FSX in STEAM for some reason is not reading the entry in the fsx.cfg. I tried renaming the new folder but that did not help either.
  3. The hardrives I have FSX on are both on my computer but are not related as far as I know. As a result it seems I should be able to use the same setup in both versions of FSX which is what I tried to do. I will try your suggestion and see what happens.
  4. Hi everybody! I have fsx on two seperate hardrives. Lets call them A and B hardives. I created a sub folder for my addon planes in the sim objects folder FSX on hardrive A and edited the fsx,cfg and it works fine, my addon planes do show up. However I created a sub folder in the sim objects folder in FSX Steam for my addon planes (which is on B hardrive). I also edited the fsx.cfg accordingly. But the addon planes do not show up in the main page list when I open FSX. The entry name I put in the fsx.cfg is the same name as the sub folder I created. I placed the information in the fsx.cfg just below the entry for the misc objects which makes it #5 and I gave it that distinction. I don't understand why the addon planes do not appear in FSX Steam. Thank you everybody for your advice and time! This is how I edited the fsx,cfg on my other hardrive A [Main] User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\ADDON Planes ProcSpeed=6902 PerfBucket=7 This is how I edited the FSX Steam fsx.cfg:hardrive B [Main] User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\ADDON PLANES ProcSpeed=9089 PerfBucket=7
  5. Yes it is very interesting indeed.
  6. HI everyone, I came across a very interesting and new airplane it is the CELERA 500L created by OTTO AVIATION. It has just finished 31 test flights and is not in service as of yet. It is a nice looking airplane I think. It looks like it would be a joy to fly in real life and in FSX. I will post the link below and maybe someone here who builds aircraft for FSX might take an interest and create one of these planes for FSX. Take a look at it and see what you think. In the real world the plane has a lot of possibilities as you will notice when you visit the website. The link is below. Dan Culver https://www.ottoaviation.com/celera-500l
  7. Ok after I just posted my last comment I rechecked the New files section and did find it on page 5. Maybe my eyes are playing trick on my brain!
  8. Something is going wrong. I did a search in the FSX Scenery and in Scenery objects sections and both are showing no results.
  9. I uploaded a new scenery object library of objects that I created recently but now can't find it in the search bar or in the new files added section. I am posting the zip file name below. I was able to go to the download page and download the file but without that information I don't think anyone who wants the scenery object library will be able to find it. I am posting the download link below. Thank you for consideration on this issue, Dan Culver https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=210016 2ndIOSobjects.zip
  10. I have not used your scenery but I want to thank you for the scenery you build. I too take joy in building scenery for FSX. Keep make scenery and I will too. I dont want to see people turn away from FSX just because the new MS2020 is now out. Thanks again! Dan Culver
  11. Thank you for your comment. I like the idea of adding things to FSX that we don't usually see but are real to life. I have been through Tonopah and there isn't much there. The old hangers that I used are in the FSX default scenery library. I like the way they look too.
  12. Soemthing I forgot in the READ ME file.......... If you want to use these objects in your scene building you may need to rescale the objects.
  13. Hi everybody, I am excited to offer this library. I hope my instructions are not too confusing. I tried to make it simple. I am also uploading some scenery that will use this library of objects so be looking for those. Dan Culver
  14. I recently downloaded and installed this plane in my FSX but found it to be very taxing on the frame rate, very taxing indeed. hendrik357
  15. After reviewing this scenery it appears I have made yet another error in my scenery building. I believe I forgot to add the effects for the fire and smoke seen in the screen shot of the downtown are. And since it has been quit awhile since I created this scenery I am not sure what effects it was that I used so I may not be able to make them available in an update. If and when I can remember and find the effect I will do an update. I am very sorry for this error.
