  1. Since everyone has been fooling around in MSFS with the A300, I had to do my part...in FS9:
  2. The JF Turbo Arrows. I didn't want to splurge in the A2A Comanche ($50 + $37 to our govt in taxes), and back then the Marketplace had regional pricing (lower than US/EU prices). So I went for the next best thing instead.
  3. Did you solve your issue? Unlike aircraft textures, panel bitmaps must be in either 8-bit or 24-bit .bmp format, with no mips. Clear areas must be in 0,0,0 black. If anything, open your bitmap in GIMP (or Photoshop or whatever similar program you may have) and resave it in the correct format.
  4. Very nice picture! I was in Ushuaia last week (in the real world). I guess you used the CLS A340. But which scenery did you use?
  5. I should upload my FS9 installer somewhere. My original discs are 5000 km away from me, since a decade ago But yes, I thank FS9 for making me understand not only how a plane works, but also how a computer works. I still have it in my laptop, and still goes strong. And watching the screenshot forum makes me want to go back!
  6. Very nice pictures! Do you use any special panels for your 777, 787 and your Airbuses?
  7. Damn fast. I mean, it's more than good enough for even MSFS. There may be a catch: FSX is not as optimized as P3D or MSFS for today's hardware.
  8. Yes, very worth do get it. I'm sure it's the best 777 panel you can get for FS9. Merge it with the Posky/Skyspirit models and you'll get the best of both worlds. For the 757, well, there's a close match: the Blackbox/PSS for also €10, or the QW for $15.
  9. I guess SSTSIM has a installation manual, and some indications regarding controller setup. Do you have your controller settings according to it? Reason: I had a similar issue some years ago with the Level-D 767, turns up I had elevator and aileron set up directly through FSUIPC, and somehow the 767 did not like it. As soon as I reassigned it via FS settings, it was fixed.
  10. KDFW to KSAT. Been thrice to San Antonio IRL ('95, 2010 and last August) and once to Dallas (also August). In 17 years of simming , I've never flown there. Beautiful approach to KSAT with real WX.
  11. Would be the flight path vector? I understand that the horizon line must cross the FPV indicator (that green iridiscent circle) for level flight; but I'm not sure about the lateral deviation.

    Fs2004 on W11

I have it installed in my new laptop (Asus Zenbook 14 UM425QA). It's a little demon (Ryzen 7 5800H and barely 3 pounds) that should be able to run even P3D v4. Somehow it behaves a bit better in Full Screen mode than Windows 10, but I left it anyway in windowed mode. I alt-tab too much for that. For addons, I haven't yet insalled any AI or sceneries, just the Wilco buses (buggy as always) and the Carenado C182 (no issues at all).

    2d Panel

There are two payware, AFAIK: the one by FlightSimLabs and the one by Blackbox. But both are complete models, with 2D and VC. For freeware, there are none for P3D4, but if you find any FSX freeware panel that does not use any GAU or DLL files, it may work.
  14. I remember reading somewhere (maybe the FSUIPC3 manual) that it was limited to only 6 axis. I can see 6-8 axes there (depending on how the gear lever and trim wheel count). I guess you'll have to leave some of the axis assignments directly to FS9, and keep only 6 for FSUIPC. Please check in the manual, I'm not 100% sure of this.
  15. Not precisely static, but they may be actual AI aircraft. If so, the best source for FSX is WoAI.
