  1. This is a very well crafted and finished model. Great attention to detail. Very much appreciated and credit to all involved. Very good to get the Condor into P3D and a good one! Well Done, No issues with this in P3D V5.3
  2. You need to deselect 'dynamic vegetation' in the sim world menu. That should get the trees back to near normal. I use ORBX's tree addon which is much better but not selecting dynamic vegation should fix the funny colour trees for you.
  3. Yep there is, only the L-188 Electra, I was part of the team that rebuilt it for P3DV5. Most of the bugs are gone and the VC is now a proper VC with nearly full functionality. Guages and FDE also all redone. VC lighting relies on FSL Spotlights. Problem is we have not got permission from KBT to release it publicly. That is not a refusal by them as they did it for some other versions but seems they have other things on their minds at the moment and we just cannot get a response from them. PM me and I will get you an upload link to " try it out" in the interim.
  4. Ralie25 - I have had no response on the LM Forums re Sim Director. You are not alone here there is something screwed up in the way it is functioning. I cannot get it to load satisfactorily in under 1 hour and sometimes not at all - it drives the CPU to 100% when it is attempting to load which takes some doing on a 5 GHZ 32GB RAM I9 card and motherboard, in the end it hangs P3D so there is no option but to kill the whole thing. The issue is how it is either indexing or functioning within the sim and at the moment it just seems to try and load basically everything at the same time instead of using an index list function. I hope they come around and fix this. As for the problems you now have I guess my humble advice would be to stop fixing it, make sure you have the stuff you added on backed up and scrub it and load a complete new install. Be more effective than trying to fix it!
  5. That seems to be a problem with upgrades. There is a long discussion on the ORBX forums about the upgrading problems and why and how to fix it, seemed like a lot of work to me so I just backed up some stuff I had and put in a complete new version 5.1.12 which seems to have cured the problem to a point. It depends on the VC textures some people use as well. Overall I am not unhappy with the outcome, it is not bright but it is not pitch black either. Depends on where the light is outside as well.
  6. No issues with 5.1.12 runs smooth as silk and a lot of older models from the FSX area can be added on and work well. The true sky, enhanced atmospherics, dynamic lighting and wave motion is amazing. Waited a long time for a sim this good and it is good. Can't offer a comparison with MSFS2020 not interested in that one. A Lot of older stuff does not work and biggest disappointment at moment is waiting for various folk to adapt their models to work in 5.1 (even some V4 or early stuff now has issues in 5.1) and some who claimed a product to be V5 ready are not and causing issues. Basically older stuff from FS9 has a lot of issues, anything with a 32 bit gauge will not work or only partially work and to be blunt and honest there are a lot of developers who have ported stuff across the sim versions for years and got away with it but not in V5 it has basically zero tolerance for this sort of stuff. Some developers are really bringing stuff onto market quickly others are a bit slow to be polite.
  7. Few more: Aerosoft PBY Catalina Auckland Harbour Area JBK Sandringham out of Sydney (This is a conversion project and WIP at moment) Thomas Ruth B727 US somewhere at F290
  8. Here are a couple these are all 5.1.12 Rockwell Commander over North Sea Near the Shetland Islands with Real Weather selected. Dave Garwood DH89 out of the default airport default scenery Thomas Ruths B727 try out in 5.1
  9. Atla - Most of not all of the Cal Classic scenery was reworked for FSX being for FS9 and MS2004. 90% of it worked fine in FSX the only issues being location misplacement due to the changes in the way the world was presented between FSX and FS9 in other words some places namely the whole aerodrome location could be out by anything from a 100 m to a kilometer they would still work but be horrible to look at. All the objects etc worked and showed up ok but you needed all the Cal Classic Libraries installed also for this to happen. Now as for P3DV4 cannot say only way to find out is to install them into an addon folder and select them in the scenery editor and go and have a look, I suspect they probably will work but the objects can be quite crude say compared to the high definition models and textures now available in a lot of scenery especially P3D. For example trees and people are 2D objects which means they can display oddly in another installation. Check out the Cal Classic Forum for FSX you will find very long and detailed discussions about Cal Classic Scenery for FSX it will help you work it out, as I said cannot see why not but give it a go.
  10. I might add that for a first time design and build effort then Ivo Verlaeckt deserves 10/10 it is very nicely done and I am sure mods and some changes are in the pipeline to make it even better. A curious aeroplane with some interesting aerodynamic quirks, badly maligned when it was around because of some issues but it was actually a solid little performer and served a lot of operators well, just never supported in real life with the money and further development it required.
  11. Well done, very good to see this aeroplane finally get a go in FSX. There are some issues perhaps I should email you rather than here. I appreciate the work that went into this one, always good to get another real STOL aeroplane into FSX.
  12. No its not is in with textures in the texture file. Cut it out or copy out it provides the aircraft.cfg entries you need
  13. Just great. This is a very rare early Australian Airliner and the early TAA colours were very nice lines indeed quite cool. Well done and thanks a lot.
  14. I reckon you can basically do anything you, imagination is the limit sometimes, well not always sometimes FSX has some slowdown points. To keep it interesting I use it to get to know different aeroplanes, from heavy metal jets to light fabric aeroplanes. A VC is mandatory for me as is REX Weather. I like to explore the FSX world, and there are always surprises in store for different airports around the world, designers little touches and special finds like that. I am also member of a VA and do a bit of hauling in the DC-3 with them but flexibly. I find the sim a really great way to explore the history of aeroplanes and different eras so you add to your knowledge of some types and enjoy flying them, some of course, the slow ones your glad to move on from. My recent bit of fun was to use the GPS and Dead Reckoning nav to take the KBT P-3 down to Macquarie Island in the Southern Ocean departing from Hobart then back to Invercargill on New Zealand's south island, yep it was there and pretty much like the real thing, had great fun and that was a long overwater flight with little inbetween. Before such flights or flying in different countries I will add to my scenery library and improve stuff as much as I can either freeware or payware and generally improve the experience. My favourite places at the moment -Australia, Japan, Pacific Region and now New Zealand. Sure is a lot of the world to explore. Maybe South America next.
