  1. Ok, thank you both. At least I know I'm not alone in noticing these oversites. And yes, I've noticed that the ".to" has become the major player when it comes to downloading. I was just hoping that this forum had stuff that the ".to" doesn't. Either way, it's all good. I did manage to find a nice Eastern Airlines livery for the default DC-3, so I'm very grateful for that.
  2. Hi, I'm still not sure how to download planes in the uploaded files section... unless they're not planes, but rather liveries. How do I know by looking at a file, whether it's its own full aircraft or not? I liked the old file system better, where they would indicate with a letter below such as [A], [B], etc. to denote if it was an aircraft, a base file, and so on. Now with those indicators gone, it's very hard to tell. I have seen what appears to be liveries only, in the section for MSFS Aircraft. There is a separate section for MSFS Liveries. Why aren't all of the livery offerings in the section they belong? I've attached an example of what I'm talking about. I was looking forward to getting an L1049 airplane, only to find out it's only a livery for a Canadian airline, and placing it in my community folder did nothing.
  3. Sorry to keep bothering you, but I'm just trying to understand this. I did some digging on Google, and it turns out that Red Wing is a company that sells various items, including airplanes. As far as I can tell, the L-1049 is their plane, and your file above is a LIVERY for Trans Canada... not the entire plane. To which I ask, why was this download put in the MSFS Aircraft section, when it belongs in the MSFS Liveries section? I'm not trying to single you out. There appears to be a lot of download authors who have done the same thing. It's just you happen to have the aircraft I liked, so I may as well contact you since I'm already here.

  5. Thank you all who responded to my post in a timely fashion. It's much appreciated, even if there's no solution to the challenge. JGF's slew recommendation certainly makes sense. I resorted to reverse thrust on occasion, but know I would catch heck for that in real life! LOL
  6. Hi, Title is a bit puzzling, so allow me to explain. I don't always fly "cold-and-dark". Sometimes I like to start warmed up and ready to go, at the head of the given runway. I've noticed an annoying issue, and wonder if others have noticed this: The "placement dots" are usually on the ends of the runway (I'm sure there are exceptions, but I just mean for the most part). I click on the dot, but when the plane spawns, it usually spawns up by the first taxiway past the piano-bars, and the heading number. NOT where I had clicked on the dot to begin with. Why does it do this, and is there a way to fix it?
  7. Hi, I guess I'm a little confused. Is this an entire airplane, or just a livery? It has an aircraft.cfg file, so I presumed it to be the entire plane. I've dropped it in my community folder, and it won't display in my hangar menu. If it is just a livery, where do I get the plane? Thanks.
  8. I don't think there's a way to edit my text from the above post, so I'll just put my EDIT here: I found out how to get into the Thrustmaster calibration menu in my computer, so disregard that part. However, it still didn't fully fix the problem, so achieving that was not so helpful afterall.
  9. I'll start of by saying that this may not be the best location for this topic, but I can't find a forum section for "gaming peripherals", so I'll post here, and the admins can always move it later, if they see fit. I am having issues with my joystick (brand and model in title), where the z-axis (twist handle) will not turn the rudder smoothly when, slowly twisting the handle. It jitters and stutters as I turn the handle left, and struggles at first to move right-- favoring the left side. If I make repeated full twists back and forth, it used to negate the instability and fix the problem. However, now that no longer works. I cannot find the program in my computer to re-calibrate the joystick, so I'm not sure how I can fix this problem. Are these joysticks with twist-handles for the z-axis, notorious for calibration and jittering issues? This was a seemingly more robust joystick than my old Logitech 3D-PRO, which was trouble free for a good 10 years, so I thought it a shoo-in that it would give me less problems. However, so far, I'm a little disappointed after just only a year-and-a-half. Any suggestions as to how to access the TM calibration menu on my windows 10, or anything else which may fix the problem? Thank you.
  10. 1. Have they fixed the "toggle spoiler" command not working, so I don't have to use "extend" and "retract" with two separate buttons? 2. Does the Daher TBM 930 have spoilers? Because if so, I can't seem to get them to extend. Thanks, John
  11. I believe you may have your settings set to not detect crashes. Possibly the update changed the settings, but I'd imagine you can still get the black screen if you prefer, by changing the setting back.
  12. Sometimes, I'd like the display compass in orbit view to display TRUE heading instead of magnetic heading. Odd request maybe, but I've my reasons. Is there a single file I can disable (like the magdec.(dll?) file in FS9?) Or in FS2020 it's not quite that simple and/or possible anymore?
  13. Certain local time zones aren't accurate, and still haven't been fixed. Is there a file somewhere in the "Main" or "App Data" folders, (or elsewhere?); where I can dig in and fix the errors myself?
