  1. I returned after a flight sim forum absence just in time to see some of the removed posts in question in this thread. I don't believe what has been explained here is quite the entire truth. I can also see after moderation the threads are left with a clear positive bias toward some users and a negative bias against others, my removed comments included. The threads would tell a different story if they were just locked and posts not removed. I did also see the post where Mr Daniels brought to attention the MSFS user with multiple accounts who was also constantly PM'ing Mr Daniels yet this has been completely hidden from public view and no action taken. It's very much as it appears, you must use MSFS on this site or be careful what you post. I don't care if I annoy them as I have no intention of staying at any place like this.
  2. It's what happens when you get rid of everyone.
  3. No need for a response. I'm joining Mark Daniels and bailing back to planet Earth!
  4. Is this at me? I really would like to know.
  5. I expect far more content in every way for MSFS, that is not my concern or complaint. My concern is you are locking threads as soon as someone doesn't like MSFS but then allow threads where people bash the other sims and leave these threads running. There are examples right now. I pointed them out clearly in the FS2004 forum and can point them out again here if you wish. It means it is fine for MSFS users to post anywhere and say whatever they like but for users of the other sims you need to stick to your own forum and not dare say anything negative about MSFS even if it is in your own forum and not the MSFS forum. That's what is happening. The restricted users that I know of I can see appear to have been very unfairly treated and mods from other sites are carrying on vendettas from the other sites here against these users. It is hard to believe it is all allowed to go on.
  6. You are that AVSIM mod? Correct me if I am wrong. I've read enough of the posts from the restricted members to understand what is going on.
  7. If they are growing the hobby and pushing one sim it should be stated. I don't like MSFS. I like FSX and I think it's better. I can't say this. I could say I like MSFS and I think it's better than FSX and that would be an appropriate post. They've got rid of members for doing this? I don't believe in such control in 2022 and it was wrong in any time period past. They can ban me as well.
  8. I've been here a long time despite not posting frequently. This makes me angry. I own MSFS, FSX and FS2004. Why is this site not neutral to all these 3 sims? All 3 should be supported equally? There are a host of very recent threads I've read that if the smallest mention is made against MSFS the MSFS members will attack you and then mods will shut the thread. If you flip the coin why doesn't this happen to negative comments against FSX or FS2004? Right now there are 2 threads running in the MSFS forum bashing FSX and FS2004 and those threads are all good to proceed. I use mostly FSX and MSFS and will again use FS2004. I would like to know I can comment openly positively or negatively on any of the 3 sims. Is Microsoft funding the site? It's difficult to believe it is not.
  9. I didn't even see this before making the above post. Here is another MSFS forum thread, you can say this against FS2004. It's all fine. ;) I am gobsmacked.
  10. I cannot believe the double standards is all I will say
  11. I read your post a while ago and thought you were a little over the top with your comments. I will now sincerely apologize and have to state I am very disappointed to see how this site is being run. There are threads in the FS2004 forum and the MSFS forum which were immediately locked due to negative discussion toward MSFS. In the meantime there is currently a thread running in the MSFS forum commenting against other sims and this is fine? You can state that FSX is clunky, control system is no good but a suggestion that MSFS is clunky results in a locked thread? I'm with you G. Kirschstein and Mr. Mark Daniels. There are very clearly double standards here. I've been on this site a few years and always considered regardless of sim choice, flightsim.com would support each member equally. It is not the case. I've found the rules are you can comment against a sim as long as it is not MSFS. I would like to know if sites like this are now being officially funded by Microsoft? I want no part of it and wish to post somewhere that is independent.
  12. Me?:p There is only one new flight simulator program I'm aware of and if I was to use only one simulator program, it would not be the new one. Does that help more? :D
  13. That's how long since I've run it, I've had FSX and MSFS. I'd like to install it again. Is there anything that has come up in the last 4 years I need to know about or take into consideration? It'll be a major task to install the sim and all the addons and I don't want to find out about something after 20 hours work.
  14. I purchased MSFS on release but I'm happy to be back to my FSX. I loved FS2004 prior to FSX and it ran so well. I'm going to install it again. Looking at the thread topic, while one man leaves, another man returns. :pilot:
